so zaid doesnt like green vegetables at all..

Sounds like my husband!

I think you should keep trying--green veggies are so healthy, and can be hidden in many ways...

Vi - A lot of doctors will do an ultrasound early on to date the pregnancy. Mine didn't because I was very clear on the exact day of my last period so he felt he didn't need to. I did have an ultrasound at 12 weeks - nuchal tube screening. So I imagine you will be having an ultrasound pretty soon :) Yay!!!

Kelly - The video of Zaid is the cutest thing ever!!! I can't wait until I start feeding Declan solids. That is coming pretty soon .... I just want to wait until after his 4 month check up. He has that on September 16 (it is a week delayed because we had got off track with his surgery).

The only thing I am worried about is constipation when we start rice cereal. He had a bout of it over the weekend, first time ever. I really really miss being able to give him lots of breastmilk, because we never worried about constipation with it. I've read that formula can cause that. Any tips for what to do to prevent it in the future?

Kelly I'm surprised he doesn't. Ayman loves his peas. We are going to try green beans next. Ayman acts like everything is nasty at first, but after a few bites he's growling for it. Just keep trying....

Autumn - the only thing I know is when Ayman gets constipated, we are to give him a little bit of juice diluted with water. We seem to always have a problem with constipation. Poor baby's poo is like little rocks if he doesn't get some juice.

The rice cereal actually didnt constipate zaid, actually nothing constipates him, lol he is still a soup pooper...

I will keep trying with the green veggies, it was hysterical tho, I gave him green beans and he acted like he was dying..I think ill stick to orange veggies for a lil while longer...

tomorrow is shots :( i did however talk sister into coming in town to go with me...she will be here tonight..im so happy i dont have to do it by myself

They aren't. They go anywhere from 5 Bucks to 15 bucks or so. They all work the same way, so a Walmart test is just as accurate as the 'first response' digital whatevertest.

As for green beans. I pureed them and mixed them with apple sauce...Adam liked it. I still put apple sauce in anything sweet that is too hot (cream of wheat, oat meal etc.)

@Vi&Nessa: I had my first ultrasound at 6 weeks, that's the earliest they can do it. We even got to listen to the heartbeat and that was the most amazing moment!

Hubby is still in shock because they did it "internal" The embryo looked like a little peanut, didn't resemble a human at all! LOL

If you have your ultrasound around 8 weeks, you'll be able to see a lot more.

@autumn: if you're worried about constipation, don't give him rice cereal, start with oatmeal instead. Ben gets very constipated too and his pediatrician recommended oatmeal. he hates it though. My milk came back in after pumping for 2 days, so I'm going to hold off on the solids for another month.

My pediatrician said to just introduce 1 food at a time. This month oatmeal, next month carrots. etc

Today year ago was when I found ou that I was pregnant. Now he's already over 4 months old! crazy how fast life can change completely! :)

Oh my...soo cute but not so little. Congratulations on your baby boy. I envy you for having two pictures with a baby with eyes open. Allie still won't open her peepers for me when I take a picture.

I made my first doctor's appointment with my gynecologist it's going to be next wednesday, girls, when is going to be my first sonogram?? I'm already 6 weeks is it coming soon??

I had my first U/S at 7w3d. It looked like a peanut... But he/she had a very strong heartbeat. It was such an exiting moment to hear it! My hubby was with me and his words after were: "It was a shock to my system. I’ve heard the same type of sounds many times on Television shows and documentaries, but today, this was our baby’s heartbeat and that made it the most unique and beautiful sound in the whole world."

Sept 19 I will have my next U/S. I had surgery because of cervical cancer a few yrs ago, so this will be to see how my cervix is keeping up with the pregnancy. Hopefully they will also look at the baby! Otherwise I will have to wait another 4 weeks (20w u/s) before I will see him/her again.

Nessa- I think you asked when you start showing? I am 13weeks now and my husband told me the other day that he starts seeing a little bump... But I am very slender so that might help too. I think a woman with normal body posture will start noticing someting around 4months. For a long time already my belly was kinda swollen but the doctor told me that were my intestins.

All newly preggo girls CONGRATS!

I am happy to see that there are more now. So I don't feel so alone between all the girls that had their baby already. (no offense  ) We can learn alot from those happy newly moms!
