Hi Nanny,

Things are going better for me. I'm dealing better with the situation, well as best as I can I suppose. The baby is doing well also, I can tell she is running out of room in there, all she does is wiggle around, the kicks are not as strong as they used to be. I think she is going to be a big girl , she was already 4 lbs 8 oz at my 3d ultrasound session 2 weeks ago, but I keep hearing those estimates aren't always accurate.

Oh yes I have a name finally, I've decided on a first name: Amaya. I'm still deciding on a middle name.

mommy...hold you head up!! you are doing great and everything always has a way of coming together!!!! She sounds like she is going to be a nice size!! But like you said you never know till she is out!!!

I like that name Amaya such a pretty name!!

if you ever need to vent or a shoulder to lean on i'm here for ya!

has any of your babies puked after introducing formula? My milk supply is very low all of a sudden so we fed him Earth's best organic formula (milk based) yesterday and he spent all night vomiting his guts out.

Also, where do I get Reglan? Does it work? I started pumping every 2 hours but I don't get much more than 4oz for 30 min of pumping.

Shauna I just wish that she would nap at the babysitters and for her to feed her more. I switched bottles for her sitter so we will see if that helps. I think the 3 little girls occupy her and she is not use to so much attention. Right now Jay has a runny nose and is breathing out of her mouth sometimes. She is grunting too. It is so weird.

Mommy to be. I am glad things are little better. Stay strong on not trying to buy to much until your shower.

Shauna sorry to hear about the food allergy. I am not looking foward to feeding her food. Last night we had to give Jay prune juice cause she hadn't pooed for 3 days. I think its the cereal. The juice helped she went twice today.

Chnst - I was prescribed Reglan. At my 6 week check up, my ob-gyn sent me for a blood test to measure the amount of prolactin. My level was low, so he prescribed Reglan. It worked really well for me when Declan was nursing. I did 2 courses. After the first course, I noticed a big difference in a day or two, and Declan began nursing more (you probably remember my nursing woes!). I also noticed an increase in milk when I pumped. However, after the hospitalization, Declan refused to nurse and my supply went way down. I took another course of Reglan, but since he was not nursing, even though I pumped all the time, it did not work all that well.

One of the lactation consultants I had worked with said that, if a person's prolactin level is normal, then Reglan probably won't help much, but if it is low, then it can be very beneficial.

About the pumping and only getting 4 oz., had you been pumping a lot before this and so the 4 oz. is a drastic difference? I am asking because, for a lot of mothers, getting 4 oz. when pumping is normal. Good luck girl!

@CHnst: Are you sure your milk supply is just low or is has it only adjusted to Ben's needs? I thought my milk was low cause I wasn't constantly engorged with Adam after a couple of months and I kinda paniced but turnes out...it was just the right amount for Adam. He got full of of whatever I offered him.

Adam is sick. He was supposed to go to mother's day out tomorrow (Wednesday) but he is just coughing like crazy and his nose is runny. I was really looking forward to him going to daycare for those five hours...argh.

So much to catch up on, wow!

Congrats to those who are newly pregnant!

Anna-Congrats on the birth of your little one!

We visited family again last weekend and got home last night. Kavi did pretty good on the drive(9.5 hours). It's the 3rd time he's made that trip. The packing and the traveling I hope is a little practice for when we go to India with him. One better thing with a plane is that he won't have to be strapped into a car seat the whole time. WE are putting him on our lap for the journey. We don't want to pay for his seat and if you do pay for a seat you have to have a car seat strapped into it the whole time. I don't even want to think about how to get the car seat and all our luggage around the airport and in India where they don't even use car seats.

This teething stuff is no fun. :( Kavi has another tooth, on the top this time, about to come out. It has been causing him some problems but even with that he did well in the car.

nessa, I used every cream you could think of, and still got stretch marks, maybe someone here can offer an idea to what worked...the stuff i got was from motherhood maternity and wasnt cheap, and alas, stretch marks i have!

I agree. If it's in your genes or skin make up that it's going to happen, there is no cream or anything that will prevent it, it seems.

Something I used just because I liked the way it smelled and felt was Burt's Bees Mama bee lemon almond oil.

My stretch marks got really bad after 27 weeks and I started looking really pregnant at 30 weeks. Before that, it wasn't as obvious. I didn't start out skinny. Anyway now I have bad stretch marks that are fading but oh well, I had some already and I never show my stomach out in public. I didn't really care if I got stretch marks.

Our son was half breast and half formula the first two months, then my wife's production gave out so he was on formula the rest of the way. Started with Enfamil then went to Costco's Kirkland (much cheaper). He never had a problem with formula, and rarely spit up (thank god).

BTW first birthday checkup had him at 20 pounds 6 ounces and 31 inches!

Well right after, I still felt weird. Now it's been almost 2 weeks since it ended and if I was actually trying to get pregnant this month, even if I was pregnant, it wouldn't show up on a pregnancy test yet. I track my monthly cycles so I know exactly what day I am at and all, started that when we tried to get pregnant with Kavi so I would know about the fertile time of the month, etc. I don't know, I just feel weird. :P (I did buy a test to take later just to make sure and get over the paranoia). I am more hungry feeling than usual, more tired than usual, headaches etc. Hubby thinks it's just because I have been exercising more regularly and losing some weight which might have sped up my metabolism and make me hungry more often but that doesn't explain the fatigue, does it? I thought you were supposed to feel more energetic with exercise. Anyway I am pretty sure I am not but I can't help wondering. It would go against all logic but it has happened to people before. I'll test later on. :P
