Eveline -- what you wrote was absolutely lovely. "Miracle" is the perfect word to describe children (L) I once heard a woman say that having kids was like having your heart walking around outside of your body. I really liked that....

IMPORTANT QUESTION: Has anyone here used the prescription Reglan? For some reason, my milk production has suddenly decreased dramatically and my supply simply cannot keep up with my baby's demand. My doctor has prescribed Reglan and I just want to know if it is really effective or not, based on other's experiences.

Thanks!

Tracy, I have used Reglan before. I had been tested and my prolactin level was low, so they prescribed it. It worked really well and only took a day or two to notice a difference.

@Chnst: No way, they sent you a bill for the circumsicion? How much were you supposed to pay for something that never happened?

DH had elbow surgery when he was a teenager and his mom got a bill which stated a pregnancy test - it was negative...of course. She didn't pay for it.

omg... I heard a lot of stories like that, they think they can get away with it. I don't remember how much it was, the insurance paid for everything, and the hosital just sent us statements for the "Nursery Procedures" and it was listed in there. I called the insurance and told them about it and they were going to contact the hospital.

@Tracy: oh wow I can't believe how big your little man is getting!

ohh carolyn...i remember how careful i was after zaid was "snipped" although i did it the next day before we left the hospital...how come you decided to wait?? make sure you put lots of vaseline on those gauze pads, you dont want it sticking to the diaper...trust me!!!

Deciding on what to do about circumcision was a challenge for us--since we didn't know if we were having a boy or a girl, we hadn't completely thought it through before birth:

1. My husband wanted to do a traditional Muslim circumcision ceremony and party, ideally in Morocco, but I vetoed the Morocco plan (who knows when we will be able to afford to go next, and I just am not ok with the unsanitary nature of how it is often done).

2. The doctor on circumcision duty in the hospital was female--Simo was not ok with that--he said he wanted to get a local Syrian doctor to do it.

3. Finally we decided to just get it done at our Pediatrician's office--it was just fine, a male doctor who performs circumcisions all the time.

In retrospect, I wish we had done it at the hospital, but he's doing fine now.

Last night was pretty funny: at 1:30 am I tried to change Ilyas' diaper by myself...first, of course he pooped, which I cleaned up, then I got my first little boy shower! Wow, can he pee like a fountain! He soaked my bed! Then, I tried to squirt a bunch of vaseline on his #######, which got all over his legs and feet  . Looks like I, too, will be getting a waterproof mattress pad soon!

haha the little boy showers...i remember them from taking care of the twins....you know they have these little cups you can get to put on them so they can't shower you...i think one says little squirt....haha...

We have one, but they don't work very good. Unless your child doesn't move at all, they aren't worth it cause they just fall off or get kicked across the room. A washcloth works much better.

i wondered how well they worked..well at least i know if i were to ever have a boy....

Medical billing...UGH don't get me started!!!! When i was preggo....the dr said ok we are doing blood tests for this one research we are doing...ok i thought i can help out with this it is for research! HAHA the joke is on me $350.00 later from the place i got my blood work done. I called the office ya because it was "optional" they are not responsible for it and my insurance won't cover it because it was "optional" and because it was in Delaware my current insurance in Pennsylvania won't cover it....that had me so pissed....

The boy-fountain-pee-stage is not a very long one. I think Adam was done with it after the first 12 weeks and I didn't get peed on since. I don't think there is a NEED for those pee cups but they sure are fun to try out I guess.

Thanks, autumnchick! I'm hopeful that it will help to remedy our situation quickly. I'm getting a bit panicked!

With my first I didn't start to show until 26 weeks. With my second around 13 weeks.

Definetely get charles on camera when he changes a poopy diaper. DH actually threw up the other day when changing Adam's diaper. I didn't see it but he said that Adam looked at him all disgusted,:lol: .

@Chrissy: Enjoy Dylan right now. They are a lot of fun. Adam is so cute when he starts dancing and clapping his hands or making himself dizzy by running in circles. All the best.
