Two weeks is too long! :P

Anyone else notice how when the baby is first born you are taking a million pictures every day the first couple weeks...then it gets less and less. Then you have to remind yourself to take pictures! I guess because you are so involved with the work of taking care of a baby and he isn't brand new and life takes over. I do still try to take pictures every couple of days at least. Not tons of pictures but enough to have a sample through out the month of his growing. And when he does something new of course! :)

Then you get to the point where the babysitter is taking pictures for you! She just sent us this one:

We took her apple picking for the first time last weekend and she LOVED IT. I can't wait to take her pumpkin picking in a month or two. I wish they would all roll out about two years old. :P

Wacken, cute!! :) The apple picking sounds fun.

We got Kavi's passport in the mail yesterday. I expect mine (w/ my married name change) next week. They are moving fast with passports! It took 11 days from when we dropped his off at the county building here til it arrived in the mail. It was processed in Charleston, SC. Next step is applying for the special Indian entrance card (different from regular visa).

Kavi's favorite foods seem to be sweet peas, sweet potatoes, an apple/banana oatmeal mix, and he did like pears too. He wasn't fond of carrots so far and butternut squash he didn't seem that interested in either. Green beans was iffy, he seemed to be too gassy that night.

Amirah really likes the foods that are mixed with grains - Earth's Best has a lot of like peas and brown rice, spinach and potato, and her favorite summer vegetable dinner. I think maybe cutting the strong green taste with something helps. Also Gerber makes one calle spring vegetable dinner thats good too. the only thing she really doesnt like yet is squash. Also about a month ago I got that Yo Baby whole milk yogurt and she LOVES it. they make a version mixed with cereal too thats a great breakfast :)

Yea, it will be exciting to be able to do the mixed ones...I have started everything a little earlier than the doc recommended but i just felt like he was ready..I think we will stay on sweet potatoes for at least 4 days, then move onto carrots, then squash...after that we will do green veggies..

the one thing im confused on is a good eating pattern...since he is just hitting 4 months ive only been giving him cereal once in the morning once at night...now, I will substitute his p.m. cereal with veggies..but how do i know when to start adding rather than replacing?

Kelly it probably depends on his appetite. Right now Kavi mostly still eats twice a day(baby food or cereal) with occasional days of 3 times. He is also teething now so he doesn't seem to want to eat as much food as usual. Soon I'll try to get him on a 3 meal pattern but as long as he is gaining the appropriate weight and drinking enough milk it should be fine for a little longer. He is almost 7 months old. (yikes!) :P

Hey, I just noticed this thread!!! Cool. I'll be lurking in here reading your stories of child-raising. Just so you know. ;)

Long story short, we have a complicated case. We've been at this for nearly 5 years. You can read our story here. I highly recommend our attorney Laurel Scott, as well as attorneys Laura Fernandez and Lizz Cannon .

Filed I-130 via CSC in Feb 2008. Petition approved June 2008. Consular interview in Mexico, Oct 2008, visa denied, INA 212a6cii. We allege improper application of the law in this case.

2012, started over in Seoul: I-130 filed DCF on 7/2, I-130 approved 8/8, Medical at Yonsei Severance 11/20, IR1 appointment in November 2012.

CRBA filed 1-3-13 at Seoul for our daughter

@nanny: Glad to be of any help...haha. Sometimes just a little vent helps a lot.

I don't know what is wrong with Allie. I don't actually think anything is wrong, except for the stupid grunting thing. Also, Adam had great digestion...he would poop before during and after feedings and Allie only does her business twice a day or maybe not at all and when she does it then it's almost hard, which I don't understand. Breastfeeding poop is usually runny, right? It's got the right color and doesn't smell (thank gosh, haha) but it's almost little pebbles. Sorry for talking about my daughters poop but I'm used to really runny explosive poopoos from Adam. Maybe the diaper soaks up most of the water? I haven't started with cloth yet, maybe I'll give it a try and see what it looks like then. Hmm, I feel like a first time mom again, getting all crazy about my baby's 'waste'

Hi everyone I am exhausted after my first week of work. Yes I missed my little one but I was to busy to be sad. I am getting use to standing on my feet for 6 1/2 hours straight again which is tough. I had work related issues this week that were not good and will continue in to next week. I am just praying it will all work out.

I will go catch up now. Jaylyn just turned 4 months on Thursday. I am trying to get into the doctors office but they keep canceling on me because they don't know my docs schedule well. UGH!!!! The doctor is good but the staff stinks.

One big bonus she is on formula know and sleeping from 11pm until 9am every day. She eats 12 ounces at night and just passes out. I had to lay my hand on her stomach to see if she was ok before I left for work. I tried the whole nursing thing but the first day back at work I had no sleep the night before. Now she is on a schedule. I hope it sticks. Jaylyn will start rice cereal hopefully next week. My hubby doesnt want me to start until doctor says its OK. We will see if I can sneak it when he works at night. :).

Jax wow 12 ounces!! that is a lot!!! I would try her on the cereal she is sounding like she may need a little extra!! I would try it in the morning is possible to make sure she doesn't have a reaction to it! Also something i learned...rice cereal can be binding and lead to constipation and if that were to happend the oatmeal baby cereal is what she should get next! Kaila had a horrible poop issue with the rice and i did some research and found that it can be binding...
