@chnst.. yeah thats fine.. when we came back from germany D was about 5/6 weeks.. he slept all the time.. woke only up for his bottle and diaper change and went back to sleep asap.. i checked the stroller in (big mistake ever cuz the air ports are HUGE!!) i had D with his car seat (in case there is a seat free :) ) but it was really packed so he was on my lap.. and from frankfurt to washington some nice guy switched seats with me so that D can sleep in the bassinet that u get on the plane.. :) he did fine  even though he was on my lap his ticket was about $300 and mine was close to $800

Congrats to the newly pregnant people! And to those who just had a baby! :)

Wow, this tread is busy! Welcome to all the new preggers and best wishes for all the soon-to-be mommies!!

I had an appointment yesterday and my sweet babe measured 3 weeks bigger (36 weeks). My OB said that next appointment I get an u/s to see how big he really is and to see which way he is sitting. I am so excited to see him!!! Anyone ever had an u/s at 35 weeks? I am too excited! Maybe I will have a January baby??

Wow 3 weeks bigger! I wonder if I will get an u/s to determine size or anything. I'd like to know but I don't think one is planned at the moment!

Sorry to be late on this but I am so sorry for the loss Marilyn. I feel really close to the preggos on VJ, especially the ones who were pregnant right along with me. I had/have you on my mind always and I pray that you get the happiness you really deserve.

I can't believe Eman is going to be 1 already! How did this happen? lol I am planning his bday party. I'm not doing anything big but will take him to Chuck E Cheese and invite his little friends (my cousin's two sons). He started walking at 10 months and now he is great at it! He also got his first teeth at 10 months! He was really late on that one...

Churipu: I can't believe someone would use someone else's pics on their signature. Since it is such a super cute pic they probably thought it was an Anne Geddes photo or something so they copied it.

Has anyone had to wean their babies off of milk during the night? Eman still wakes up 3 times for milk and I was told by the hospital nurse that he shouldn't be bottle fed at night. I just thougt that he will eventually get to the point where he won't need it anymore. Is it good to let him grow out of it or should I step in and do somet hign about it.

Thank you  BTW No, it turned out Anne saw a baby in someone's profile on APA that reminded her of mine so she thought it was the same baby, thankfully no one stole any pic ;) Thanks anyway Anne, I appreciated your good intentions, I really did. :)

Happy 1st Birthday to your little boy, have fun at the party! (F)

Hi Anna! I had an U/S at 33 weeks because I got a stomach bug that dehidrated me and caused what seemed to be early labour because I started contracting, so they kept me overnight and did the u/s to check how the baby was doing and how big he was etc. in case I would deliver that night, which thankfully I didnt since it never really was any pre-term labour but just scary contractions. The baby at this stage is really big so you won't get to see the whole as you used to be able to, but if he cooperates and shows his face you will get to see it sooooo good it will pretty much look like a pic (esp if it's a 3D, thats what they did for me)!! I still have the shot and I had to frame it!

Good luck with everything!

Lizzy, wow, you will have your baby on Monday! I am so excited for you.

My doctor says he won't induce prior to 41 weeks. I hope my little guy will come out by himself. And yours too!

Congratulations to all newly pregnant ladies!

I don't have any contractions at all and my doc keeps asking me about them. Is it normal not to have any that late in the pregnancy? The baby surely kicks a lot but no contractions...

speaking on which way the baby is laying...my son is head down and is making my butt muscled hurt so bad that i can barely walk. any suggestions on how to get him to move? i have been using the birthing ball to try and get him to move bc it worked wonderfully with my daughter, but he is being stubborn and won't move. he is making things very hard on me right now. not to mention he won't stop playing and the hiccups are driving me crazy! i knos i sound miserable right now, and maybe i am...but seems to me if he would just move a little, we would all feel so much better.

thanks for all the advice on flying with baby... looks like a baby comes in handy when traveling. lots of leg space.. ahhhh.... haha.

I didn't know that it was different on international flights with the price but it makes sense I guess.

@wised up to late: sorry but I don't have any advice for you. hope you feel better though!

@Belwin: we are having the shower in early-mid march. I can't wait. My hubby was pretty well behaved doing the registry until they handed him the scanner thingy at Babies R Us and he went all nuts and scanned everything he liked (Jeep stroller, Jeep diaper bags, electric outlet plugs- that's pretty much all he cares for  )

haha, but I guess I am very lucky because he's really interested in participating in everything baby related -like doctors appointments and all the shopping "fun"
