Kavi has been getting more fun every day it seems. I was talking to my mom about babies and about how overwhelmed I felt at first, going from taking care of yourself to taking care of another life who isn't able to do anything for them self for a long time. I think people know what I mean, I don't know if I just got overwhelmed more than others. I think it was a little of the baby blues, b/c after 3 weeks I felt a lot less overwhelmed. Maybe I had gotten more sleep by then too haha.

And while it doesn't really get easier, you get used to the work involved with a baby and so then it seems to get more fun every day and easier(but those without babies yet, don't be fooled, it's not easy haha but it's well worth it). Every new thing he does is so exciting for us. He's about to crawl, he can scoot around a little in his own way by rolling around and using his sides, but I think he's going to really crawl soon and that's exciting, also a little scary hehe. Baby proofing is hard!

I completly agree!! i felt very overwhelmed on how was i going to get everything done when i had this baby who needed my attention ALL the time!! I could never see the end of the tunnel! and with my husband and i being seperated(and now divorcing) it was really hard! I guess you just get used to the daily schedule and i know for me when Kaila smilies or "laughs" it sounds more like a grunt..haha it just melts my heart!

I just wanted to say hi to everyone. I went to work today and am exhausted.

@Marlyin I know here in IL you can get pills for free at the public health clinic.

@Shauna I think you are very strong being a single mom. You know you are in my thoughts and prayers.

@KS71905 Wishing you all the best with your test that you get the outcome you want. It would be tough with 2 kids so close in age.

I still haven't got my aunt flow yet but the doctor said I won't get it back until I quit nursing.

If I forgot someone sorry I am running on empty today. Right now I am thinking about stopping nursing sooner than I thought because I need some sleep. Today was easy to because I didn't have students.

@Carolyn: Congratulations on your little baby boy. Have a great first few days with him.

Allie is definetely more high maintenance than Adam. She wears me out and I'm glad DH is home for another few days. My cut hurts (I did get cut ALL the way...and I mean ALL the way, ouch) and I think my hormones are having happy time inside me. I can just burst into tears for no reason at all. Oh well. I'm trying to take it easy. At least we get good 'good night sleep' and she's a great nurser in any position so I can jsut let it all hang out in bed an she takes whatever she needs  .

@Nanny: sorry to hear about the divorce. Good luck and all the best to you.

eveline, i too was an emotional wreck after i had zaid..every time someone would tell me he was beautiful or anything, i would burst out in tears...it goes away after time...did your doc prescribe anything for your cut?? mine gave me motrin 600s and they really helped...i remember it being very hard to get in and out of bed...

its great to hear allie is such a good nurser..im glad things are going well for you..

So how do you feel about a csection opposed to a vaginal after you have had both...Id be curious to know :)

The vaginal birth was a lot easier. I hated the pain after the c/s and that I couldn't care for my child right away. Maybe I was just too exhausted after long labor with Adam that I have such bad memories of everything. With Allie it was a LOT faster and 'easier'. I mean...labor sure wasn't a walk in the park and I'm glad it was over in under 4 hours but I really prefer vaginal birth even though I got the cut.

My doctor did give me Motrin 600 but it's still sore. It got better during the day today. I guess it's really just my hormones getting the best of me. I don't even want to think about DH going back to work for an entire week and not coming home until the weekend...argh. Two kids are going to drive me crazy..especially little Mr. Terrible Twos who likes to throw fits on top of everything. I'm glad I got my MIL around and the girls from the playgroup.

eveline, Im glad to hear things went well...Only 4 hours??? wow, lucky for a first timer....i did twelve and pushed for 2+....my nurses always told me to take Sitz baths. they said it would take away the irritation from the stiches and also help them feel faster...maybe when your hubby gets home you can take 30 mins to relax and do that...

anxious, yea i know, it wouldnt be terrible if i were, but, i really want to be able to enjoy the first year or two of zaids life, with just zaid. I had to cancel my gyn visit for next week cuz i couldnt get off work, so i think ill take a test myself in the next few days..

zaid is 3 for 4 of the past nites sleeping alll night long...its so nice..makes my mornings soo much easier

i can only imagine a 2 year old and a new baby...i would be pulling my hair out!! at least with the twins they were the same age and could do the same things!!

That is great you have your MIL's help as well as some other friends!! At least the combo of the 2 will help keep you some what sane!! Most more pics when you can! She is such a cutie!
