Chirupu-Hopefully someone doesn't really have your pic/siggy elsewhere. Maybe it just looks similar? How would they get your photo anyway? I wouldn't worry until you really see it, it could be something that just looks like it.

Hi ladies :) Hope everyone had a good New Year's. It was quite fun being the only sober person ... got to laugh at everyone else making fools of themselves.

Lizzy - Can't wait to hear ... so soon now!

Garya - Congrats!

Man I thought morning sickness was a 1st trimester thing it has come back strong this week!!! Morning and night at least I got a little break. I am getting a headache I swear this is my first and last I feel most days. Then reading the doctors notes today that I am a high risk pregnacy scares me like crazy. I need to relax.

Yes some doctors are to slap happy with inducing.. In less than a week you will be meeting your little one how exciting!!!

@Belwin Mills:

I am due May 3rd, and I'm planning a trip from NYC to Germany in early August . Baby and I if hubby doesn't get time off work. I figured he'll be old enough for a trip that long but hopefully sleep through most of it.....

And he's small enough to be on my lap.

I just don't know how to get stroller and car seat on the airplane. does that cost extra? can I bring it in the cabin or does that need to be checked in?

I am getting sooooo exited now. Hubby and I just registered with babies r' us today for all the baby equipment and I can't wait to meet the little man!!!!!

@Anna: woohooooooo congrats on the pregnancy!

Lizzy and William 33 : good luck!!!!! can't wait to see baby pics!

I checked online and the flights I checked said international flights that you cant have the infants in your lap. There seats are discounted but you have to call the airline and see how much. Just ask how much it is for a child under 2 to fly. I am bring a car seat with me since I wont have any help. I teach and hubby is a full time student so we only have time this summer.

I need to put my baby registers together real soon. Sounds like fun registering I am sure my husband will go just cause I make him. Like the good old times with the wedding register. LOL

When is your baby shower? I haven't sent a date for mine yet.

Thanks for that!!!

As for the stroller/carseat question, check these items. You should not expect to pay for the transport of these items, over and above regular baggage. Additionally, irrespective of travel class, you can get a "bulkhead" seat, enabling you to get an Airline supplied bassinet for the Baby, always located on the front of a row, with additional legroom!! All the best in your travels.

I am getting a headache I swear this is my first and last I feel most days. Then reading the doctors notes today that I am a high risk pregnacy scares me like crazy. I need to relax.

My morning-noon-night sickness whittled down to almost nothing for the whole 2nd trimester. But it came back with a vengance in the 3rd. Im doing alot better on that score now that Im on leave. Forcing myself to get up and go to work when I felt like ####### only aggrivated the nausea. If I were still working, Id still be spending half the day in the can. So I totally identify with you. Just when you think you're free, it comes back and snatches you by the azz.

Dont fret too much about being labeled high-risk. Its better receive a little extra care than not enough, even if it turns out nothing is really wrong. I went into this knowing Id be high-risk and its really not too terribly bad. Getting a good OB who is experienced in dealing with high-risk cases makes a HUGE difference. Having a doc with several high-risk cases under his belt has certainly made me feel much more secure. And both baby and I do quite well in his care, so that makes it much easier to relax and enjoy the pregnancy.

By the by, if you havent read it, check out the ever-popular "What to Expect When You're Expecting". It has some great passages on high-risk cases and possible complications of pregnancy. Very useful for educating oneself and soothing jangled nerves. While its not the most comprehensive book for problems or risks, its still a good book and an easy read. I have also found my local library to be a good source for locating books that focus specifically on high-risk and/or disablilties in pregnancy.

chnst: I travelled with my son when he was barely a month old. I was so scared about him crying and all of that. I felt bad for the other passengers. But as soon as the plane started to take off, he fell asleep and slept all the way through. I only had about a two hour trip though. I think you will be fine. I took the stroller and car seat. They let me take it in and I just handed it over to the person who takes your tickets before you get on the plane. They hand it back to you when you get off. Also, it was free to fly domestic as long as I carried him on my lap but the flight agent was super sweet and checked to see if there were empty seats. I got to bring the car seat in and set it up on the seat next to me. I took that experience and used it the next time I flew with him so that I didn't have to hold him on my lap.
