Tracy-Awww your poor little guy!

JP-If you are not happy with the co-sleeper, we got a Graco bassinet/play yard that we really liked.

It looks like this one but a little more boyish:

play yard here it is in our room:

We had first gotten a more inexpensive evenflo playyard/bassinet at my shower that I put on my registry. But then we thought it wasn't sturdy either. I read a lot of reviews on Graco's similar item and we got that instead, and it was much more sturdy and the changing table attachment was awesome and carries up to 20lbs(the bassinet carries up to 15lbs).

You may already know about those but thought I'd write anyway. I am not sure if the co-sleeper turns into a pack n play for when they are older too but the Graco does. What kind of decoration did you do for baby's room? :)

Eveline-It's good you know a date now, I will still hope for your VBAC to happen before then. But you sound positive either way.:) I had a question, though I won't need to know this for awhile I am still curious.

When they schedule the c-section for a 2nd or subsequent pregnancies when the first was labor turned c/s, how do they figure out when? Do they go by when you went into labor? I went into labor 38 weeks 6 days according to my last m.period, so if they schedule my next c/s in the future, will they take that into consideration?

Kavi is waking up so gotta go for now!!

@Stina: I don't think they care about when you went into labor with your first. I got induced and never went into labor by myself. Usually, if you want to have a repeat C/S and not try for a VBAC they'll schedule you somewhere around 39 weeks of gestation (one week before your due date) since the baby will be full term then and most likely not need any interventions plus the lungs will be fully developed. My doc asked me if I wanted it done next week or - since Baby and I are doing pretty good according to the NST, Bloodpressure, Heartrate etc - if I wanted to go closer to my due date, so I told him I'd like to go as close as I can to my due date. I'm due on August 10, which is a Sunday. That is why the c/s is scheduled for Monday the 11th.

Declan is such a cutie!!! so sad to see the little one hooked up to all that medical stuff...but at least he is doing better!!Love the pic of him and Elmo!!!

Savanaphil.....hey girl how are you doing?? how's your little boy??? i can't believe he is already a year old!!!

Kaila i am proud to anounce rolled from her back to her tummy and from her tummy to her back.....then she got all upset because i think she wanted to stay on her tummy and go to sleep....my little girl is growing up...

Wow Nanny, that is impressive :) Obviously, Kaila is a genius baby, as is all the VJ bambinos!!!

Declan is not attempting to roll either. He used to like tummy time, but did not have any for over two weeks with the hospitalization and recovery. Now, he usually screams when he is put on his tummy, although today we did have a good tummy time session where he was fascinated with his fishie mirror. I'm hoping the hospital stay did not set him back developmentally, especially in regards to using his neck and back muscles. He does do well using his neck muscles when I am holding him and pretty much is keeping his head straight all the time now without me supporting it, so hopefully he is not too out of practice.

Kaila HATED her tummy with a passion screamed every time i put her on her tummy...so i got this mat

http://www.target.com/Infantino-Surf-Tummy...;rh=&page=1

and she loved it she was able to be up on her tummy and that is when she first tried to rolled over i guess because her head was up so it was a little easier?

Kaila will be 4 months on the 19th

Kavi hated being on his belly too so he got only seconds of it at at time too. :P But at around 4 months he did start rolling onto his belly but couldn't roll back over, so after a minute or two he'd get mad and we'd put him back on his back hehe. EVen though he did not like tummy time, his neck muscles still got strong so I don't think that'll be a problem for any baby. Now he rolls around the floor, he got the hang of getting back unto his back a couple weeks ago. Man, I wonder when he'll start crawling. Exciting but scary! He loves standing since about 3 months old, with help of course, so I wonder when he'll start walking. My mom said I did at 10months. If Kavi does that, that's in 4 months! It scares me to think of him being able to get all around the house and I have to do major baby proofing.

Eveline--So if you go into labor before the 11th you'll be able to try for the VBAC? Sending you labor dust! :star:

JP--I haven't forgot about checking the co-sleeper--I'm rearranging the furniture upstairs, so I'll let you know soon!

Thank you :star:

I actually have a Graco Pack and Play too but its just too large for my room. I got it to leave at my mom's house since she will be watching the baby when I return to work. The co sleeper is supposed to turn into a play yard but it would be rather small. I don't think it really serves the purpose it is supposed to.

For her room, we went French vintage. I will have to post a picture of her crib and other things.

VJ Hours - I am available M-F from 10am - 5pm PST. I will occasionaly put in some OT for a fairly good poo slinging thread or a donut.
