Yea, I know how you feel about not recognizing yourself...I was waaayy too big...My belly button was completely inside out...I guess that had something to do with my 9lb 21in boy..I only gained like 27lbs but my skin on my belly stretched sooo uncompletely horribly...i have like a gazillion stretch marks to prove it..they arent even nice little faint ones, they are very very thick and purple..The price you'll pay to carry a baby

Thats good that your time off has been worked out...I was only able to have 6 week off (for financial reasons) and zaid has been with a sitter since then...It was nice though because with the colic his day was split up with about 6 hours with mommy 6 hours with the sitter and 4 hours with daddy, and then bedtime, so it was alot easier, i coudlnt have handled him the whole day

yes! thank god for colic being gone...The nutramigen formula definitly made a 98% improvement, but him just getting a lil older now, I am starting to see a significant change in his behavior! His new pics crack me up..He has such a personality now..Those were taken this weekend at the beach..we had a great time..

How is Declan doing? I am hoping he is well...

babycorner is awfully quiet lately...makes me sad

eta...Declan is ADORABLE!!! My goodness he is one LONG boy!! His face has really filled out and he has some personality behind those eyes...Your one lucky mommy!

Declan is gorgeous! And that outfit suits him... he sure is a tough boy!

Even my hubby 'ooh & ahh'd' over that close up shot of Declan's face. He is positively angelic in that shot!

KS - Yes, he is definitely a loooong boy. It is funny, I read how big Zaid was at birth. Declan was only an inch shorter than him and was 3 weeks early!!! Of course, Declan was also more than 2 pounds skinnier!!! BTW, Zaid looks like such a charmer. What is his personality like?

It is sad that Baby Corner is not as active as it used to be. Guess everyone is busy with their babies!

I think someone had asked awhile ago and I am not sure if I answered about when Kavi's surgery will be for his hypospadia. We aren't sure yet. It will probably be in October but first we go back in Sept I believe for another specialist Dr's visit before they schedule the surgery. The office said they would send us a letter about the appointments so that we wouldn't have to call to make an appt, so we are waiting for those and might not get it til some time in August.

I just scheduled Declan's surgery for the hypospadias. He is having it December 16. We go for another visit at the end of August. Keep us posted on when Kavi's surgery is.

And thanks for the compliments on Declan!!!! I think he is pretty cute

Right now I'm sitting at my desk wiping tears off my face because my Mom just called to tell me that my little baby boy got bitten today by one of the toddlers in her day care.

I'm sure he's already forgotten. But I can't stop imagining his sweet little face crying with slobbery teeth marks embedded in his leg...

I have the co-sleeper at my house but it's not set up. My husband has wrapped it like a cocoon in a sheet so that cats don't hang out in it (they love anything new). I'll unwrap it tomorrow and try setting it up--I'll let you know how it looks.

Would it be easy to put a board or other hard object underneath the mattress to support it? It doesn't seem like you should have to do that though, does it?

I feel like it would be a waste of money if I had to modify it on my own and then how can I be sure it will be safe or not tear through the netting? I appreciate you checking yours for me

Almost there! My last day at work is Thursday (4 weeks early) and I also have my next appt that day too. My doctor will be doing an ultrasound that day to estimate weight/size etc. Her room is all ready to go. Diaper bag ready, now I have to work on my bag and buy a video camera!

My C/S has been scheduled for August 11th today. At the very latest, we'll have a baby by then.

Yes...on the 11th, I will be 40 weeks and one day pregnant. If I don't go into labor until then, I will have to have the c/s. I'm not sad about it but for some reason pretty excited. The end is near.
