I guess I've missed a lot. I tried reading through the last several pages to catch up. I'm sad to see Eveline gone. I'm sad to see any unhappiness in this thread.

JP,

I think I am going to use an Arms Reach Co-sleeper, but I don't know if it's a "Mini" or not...

My neighbors, who have an adorable 4-month old girl who just grew out of the co-sleeper, asked us if we wanted to use it. We haven't set it up yet (it doesn't look too hard). The neighbors loved it.

On the other hand, I have friends who hated co-sleepers because it was difficult for mom or dad to get in and out of bed (whoever has the co-sleeper on their side).

We'll try it...we can always set up the crib in our bedroom if we don't like it.

I'm still reading here..just don't feel like posting much.

I'm good, babygirl is still in and the doctor said that I might be as well pregnant for another two weeks. I'm about 1cm and 0% effaced but I have been losing parts of my mucus plug like crazy and had all the other nice things that come around when your body is starting to 'clean out' in preparation for labor. I still feel pretty good, even though I get dehydrated and contractions real fast. Monday is my next appointment for evaluation if the baby can be born vaginally (don't know what that is supposed to mean).

Removal of Conditions Timeline:

03/19/2008 - package sent to TSC, let's hope for the best

03/20/2008 - check cashed

03/26/2008 - case sent to Vermont Service Center

04/17/2008 - Biometrics scheduled

05/19/2008 - received I551 extension stamp via INFOPASS

02/12/2009 - APPROVED

02/21/2009 - GC received...no mistakes...valid until 2019

I got one at my baby shower, actually I registered for it. But we set it up and it bows in the middle quite a bit. I am worried about her sleeping in that. I even got a small mattress for it and it still bows in the middle. The one I have is a mini and it feels like it needs some sort of board for support. Would you mind asking your neighbors if theirs is a mini or not and if they had this problem.

VJ Hours - I am available M-F from 10am - 5pm PST. I will occasionaly put in some OT for a fairly good poo slinging thread or a donut.

JP,

I have the co-sleeper at my house but it's not set up. My husband has wrapped it like a cocoon in a sheet so that cats don't hang out in it (they love anything new). I'll unwrap it tomorrow and try setting it up--I'll let you know how it looks.

Would it be easy to put a board or other hard object underneath the mattress to support it? It doesn't seem like you should have to do that though, does it?

Eveline,

Best wishes for your VBAC! I know that it can be very frustrating waiting to find out (my sister went through that with her last birth)...just a few more days and/or weeks, eh? Hang in there! :star:

For those formula feeding moms, how often does your baby poop? It seems that since we have been using formula more (still giving some breastmilk, but my supply is waaaay low so the majority is formula) ... Declan maybe poops once a day (I am used to him pooping 3-4 times a day when he was drinking mostly breastmilk).

That's about normal although Ayman is pooping more now that he is on Soy.

Kaila is pooping more too know that she is on soy...it went from once a day(major explosion) to little ones 3-4 times a day...andi think she has finally gotten over the constipation i think it was her system just getting used to the new formula

I found something online that I got a kick out of and thought I'd share because I know you will all possibly relate, especially if you stay at home with the baby.

I'm getting really excited but my body doesn't seem to be moving towards labor just yet...I went in on Friday for my 37 week check-up and the Midwife did my first internal exam. The baby is head down, but my cervix is still really high up and closed. I haven't really been having any Braxton Hicks that I'm aware of...maybe some painless tightening just in the evenings, but nothing major.

It may still be a while, so I'm just hanging out. Since I'm due Aug. 14th I have decided to be prepared for the baby to come "anytime in August."

Pretty much everything is ready except I haven't yet packed my bag for the hospital--I think I'll do that this week!

P.S. Love the new pics of Zaid! He looks like such a personality!

carolyn, when i was 37 weeks I too expected "something" and when there was news of "nothing" it was disappointing..These next few weeks will drag, but enjoy them...try not to worry about a clean house and such ...relax all you can, visit with girlfriends and family, go out for a nice dinner..once the lil one is here, you will look back saying, "I wish I woulda listened to everyone.." well at least I know I did...and thanks for the comment about zaid, he is our pride and joy, and such a fun baby (now that the colic is almost gone)

Thanks for the encouragement Kelly! I know this baby will be born eventually...

I have been doing LOTS of relaxing and seeing friends, etc. I am a teacher and have had the past month+ off--all this down time is good but a little boring (most of the rest of the world has to go to work).

In some ways I don't think I could have planned this better: automatic time off (7 weeks!) BEFORE the baby is born, then the baby should be coming right about when I'm supposed to head back to work so I will use a combination of short-term disability and Paid time off for a few months. Then Simo gets to take over staying home for a while  .

P.S. I don't recognize my body anymore!
