I haven't been able to be around much the past few days. We had a death in the family of a close aunt of mine, very sad. Been busy with family visiting and everything. But today my family went home.

The milestones that babies go through ARE fun to see!

I hope that Declan is feeling better every day.

I would have to agree with those that have said no one should stop posting just because they have different opinions. As an expectant mom, I value everyone's opinion and learn a lot from this thread. I don't post much as I don't feel I have much to contribute yet but I sure do read what everyone says. I'm sure there are others just like me that benefit from this thread. Please keep it going!

Hi Nanny, I am feeling good healthwise, except it seems all the energy I had in my second trimester is not carrying over to the third.. I am super tired at work today.

carrie, in a few more weeks you get to start ayman on cereal!! I cant wait til we can get zaid on it...Hes such a hungry boy, I think it will help hold him over a lot longer..my only concern is that its gonna bother his tummy...guess we will see

We have an update. We went to the new OB last Friday and learned we're having a girl. The ultrasound showed she has 10 fingers, 10 toes, a normal spine, and a healthy heart.

We're thrilled, especially my wife. She wanted a boy first and then a girl. With that luck we should go hit Vegas. My only regret is I'll have to paint her room.

Kaila is going to see the dermatoligist tomorrow....the dr was worried about her face getting these red bumps that won't go away unless i use hydrocortizone....so we shall see what he says!!

Nanny - Good luck at the doctor with Kaila. Hoping it will be something simple and easy to treat.

Declan is doing good. I realized today that, although I do think he has been fussier than usual since the surgery, I am also really paranoid and hypervigilant about everything right now and that maybe his fussiness seems worse than it is. We did our delayed 2 month check up (well, 2 and a half months actually). He did get all his immunizations. I appreciate everyone who gave me feedback and value everyone's opinions. I looked into a variety of options, from the traditional schedule to spreading them out, and honestly found pros for both ways. However, his daycare, which he is due to start soon, requires all his vaccinations to be complete, which was why I opted for all of them (just talked to the daycare yesterday and realized this). He has been sleeping most of today, a little extra fussy but able to be soothed. He weights 11 pounds 14.2 ounces now. His doc is happy with his weight gain (5 pounds since birth), especially in light of his having surgery, since he did lose weight following the surgery.

Sounds like he is doing very well!! i know what you mean about being paranoid every little thing with Kaila i freak out about...just because i have taken care of kids where the littlest sneeze turns into something bigger....

I am glad to hear about Declan feeling better and better. That is good about the weight.

I am curious to know how much Kavi weighs now. His next appt is Aug 4th for his 6 month visit and shots. He was about 14lbs just before turning 4 mos, so I think he should be at least 17lbs by now. Who knows though! He still won't eat more than 6 oz at a feeding. I feed him baby food or baby cereal twice a day usually. All I know is carrying his car seat is hard and he feels heavy to me haha.
