I think it's sad if people are not going to post here anymore. This is usually a very supportive thread!

I think people sometimes can have stronger opinions, and we should just remember we are dealing with an important subject-our kids! So people might be sensitive about it sometimes.

Breastfeeding is not out here, but many had problems and at times felt pressured or badly that they couldn't do it so easily. So they talked about that issue, not to say that breastfeeding isn't important, but to admit the feeling that they might not be considered as great as mom for not doing it longer or sometimes they feel that way. I never knew about this feeling or pressure until I had the baby, it was a bad feeling to feel like you couldn't really do something you thought you'd be able to. When I was pregnant and saw that ppl said they were moving to formula I wondered, why is it so hard to breastfeed, what's the big deal? Wow was I in for an awakening. Now I know never to act like that or think that about someone again.

Anyway, if people can put aside their own opinions and just answer when they feel they can help someone else or support them, things will be better and you won't feel you have to leave.

I think the important thing to remember here is no one on this board is a genuis, No one can say one thing is better over the next, all that matters is we all have healthy and thriving children, which we all seem to....A breastfeeding mom doesnt make her a better one, we are all parents, and we will all do what we think is best for our children...No one has ever stated that opinions posted were right or wrong, becuz they are just opinions...They do not need to be validated. If you disagree, move onto the next post where someone posts something that you can relate to..

"Leaving the forum" is silly...Everyone here has contributed some sort of advice that one or many have used or taken into consideration. Everyone is valuable here. The way we parent may not all be the same, but, were are all parents and thats what matters...

Hey...did i miss something why is everyone leaving?? i love the board i get a lot of great advice and tips...and if i don't agree with it i just pass it by....everyone has to what is best for their own child...and some tips along the way are great!!!

Kaila is on they soy but we are still having the contsipation...the dr said to give her 4 oz of pedialyte which worked then gave her the runs so i stopped and she started up with the clay like poop again.....she isn't complaining about it like she was about the gas so i guess i wll just let it go and give pedialyte when i feel it is getting to hard.... i never thought i would ever be having indepth conversations with my mom about my child's poop....

Yeah well apparently those of us who give our children soy milk, juice and tylenol are now less of a mother than those who breastfeed! It seems some here think if you don't do as they do or agree with them all the time, then you are not a fit parent.

I would have to agree with those that have said no one should stop posting just because they have different opinions. As an expectant mom, I value everyone's opinion and learn a lot from this thread. I don't post much as I don't feel I have much to contribute yet but I sure do read what everyone says. I'm sure there are others just like me that benefit from this thread. Please keep it going!

Nanny,

Kaila sure has grown, she's adorable. :luv:

Sorry if I keep offending people it was just something I saw on tv. On the yardies thread someone commented about this today about this English women and I didn't even bring it up.
