carrie, some feedings zaid can handle 5-6oz but others, he falls asleep after 4oz, so, i kept him on 4 and he would eat about every 2 hours...now, we have to go up only cuz it was getting outta hand how often he was eating...and zaids measurments were almost exact to ayman at his 2 month check up... about 13.5lbs 25inches..

we call my brothers baby the chunky monkey, hes 3.5 months and 18 lbs!!!

We are being discharged tomorrow. YAY!!! The only sucky thing is that hubby is heading back to NH while I will be staying in my mom's extremely small place in CT until Wednesday at least. Because mom has a house in Florida and spends winters there, her CT pad is basically an efficiency apartment. Oh well. Anything is better than the hospital, as great as they have been.

Sense my single and married friends without kids are no longer hanging out with me as much.

Shauna yeah it is nutts that there is no safety seats in Jamaica. We are renting a car for our trip so Jaylyn will be safe in her car seat. I am hoping to take her to the beach at dusk or early in the morning. I can't wait to go back. Oh also the cockroaches and mosquitoes are scaring me. Thats why we bought the tent for her to sleep in because we won't have a King size bed at the house we are renting. Just thinking what I can do be cause those mosquitoes are awful all day. I think maybe will stay inside most of the time the heat just kills me this time a year 100 plus ugh. Oh cute new pic of Kalia on the yardies site. I hope Kaila feels better !!

All my friends with no kids come around every couple of weeks....oh well i have excepted it...

Oh i would be so freaked about taking Kaila to JA....i think keeping her inside close to a fan with maybe just a shirt or onsie on...just try to keep her plenty hydrated....oh and i would get bottled water...even though they say it is "safe" to drink out of the tap little babies systems are funny and can't handle what we might be able to....best wishes with the bugs....they are so scary i hate them!!

Ayman has times where he doesn't eat an entire bottle, but for the most part he sucks them dry. He is now up to 6 1/2 oz every 4 hours with some water or juice in between. He seems to be doing fine on the soy formula. The only thing is his poop has become very hard. Poor baby was crying trying to poop today.

carrie! His new pics are friggin precious! Does he enjoy watching tv just like zaid? I swear, we prop his bouncy on the coffee table, turn on some spongebob and he will sit and watch like he knows exactly whats going on! You give him juice and water? I would be so scared to..my sis in law scared the heck outta me the one time i was going to...

you don't know how relieved i am to hear this about the tv....i thought Kaila was the only one and i thought maybe something is wrong that she justs like to sit and watch tv...she will watch anything that is on and just sit in her little chair and watch it...

wow there are a lot of super cute new pics, I love the Ayman montage! Zaid looks like a little man and Belwin I love that new pic of Jaylynn, she doesnt look like a 'newborn' anymore. beautiful!

Amirah likes TV too, I put on Sprout or Disney. she loves the music thats on the baby shows. Actually she LOVES the Wiggles. I must admit I find them annoying but she looooves all the singing and dancing.

Adam has no attention span whatsoever when it comes to watching TV. He loved American Idol and danced during the songs but other than that he looks at the TV maybe 2 MInutes and that was it. My MIL recorded "Teletubbies" for half a year and now deleted it all cause she just can't get Adam to watch it. Not that it bothers me. He'll be watching enough TV in his life.

I'm getting ready for my babyshower. DH is not here, even though he said he was going to watch Adam. I hope he'll be back within the hour.

Ayman loves TV too. His favorite is Happy Feet and Cars. He loves all the Disney movies, especially the ones with singing and music.

Kelly I have to give him juice to help him poop. We went out last night looking for some prune juice. I don't know if it's the change in formula or the Axid, but when he tried to poop yesterday omg he screamed. When I changed him it was like a rock came out. Poor little guy, he was having to work hard just to go. We give him white grape or prune juice mixed with water. He loves it. Oh and he slept all night again last night, from 12-8am...woohoo!!!

There have been so many posts in a short amount of time!

I hope Declan is doing well and did you leave the hospital?

Kavi only drinks about 6oz at a time(every 3 hours except for longer spans at night) and he's 5 1/2 mos. I wish he'd drink more at a time. And sometimes he'll still only drink 4oz and then 2 hours later will be hungry again. Now that he has some rice and oatmeal cereal and other baby food, he gets calories from that too at least. I know his weight is normal b/c the Dr said it was at the last appt. He may be around 16lbs now, not sure since he hasn't been weighed for awhile. I know he is not very chunky! He seems long though.

He likes baths fine, but on the 4th we tried putting him in a kiddie pool too. As soon as his feet touched the cool water, he started crying and the further his leg went in, the more hysterical he got. So I guess he hates cold water!

Kavi looks interested at the TV sometimes but I am not sure I want him to want to watch anything on it yet...I am mixed on that. Believe me I am not anti-TV, but I'm not sure how old I want him to wait to be to watch it on purpose. I think they must think the TV is so interesting. Even just news people talking on it, Kavi will look and I wonder what he's thinking. "Who are those people in that box thingy and why aren't they playing with me?"
