I didn't see Adam until 4 hours after birth and in the hospital now they keep the baby in the nursery for 4-6 hours after a c/s. I'm hoping for another breastfeeding natural as Adam was.

I don't know if it runs in the family but it seems it would! So I am sure you little girl will be natural at it too. At least you know that even after having to wait the 4 hours, he still did very good at breastfeeding. :)

I can't believe you are so close now, yay!!!

I know. My babyshower is on sunday, I'll have my GBS next Tuesday and then a NST sometime next week too. My doc is on vacation (AGAIN) but the 'replacement' is pretty cool. I met him a couple of times and like him almost a little better than my OB (cause he's about 30 years younger and more open). I'm up to two capsules of Evening Primrose Oil every day, taking six capsules of 5W and I drink plenty of red raspberry leaf tea. I do have contractions a lot but I can't tell if they are BH or real. I guess it's BH since they are uncomfortable but not too painful.

I have a friend due around the same time as Eveline w/ her second and her shower is this Sat. She had a girl first and now is having a boy, so her family wanted to give her another shower. I think my fam would do a mini-shower for me too when I have another, even tho it's not traditional. If ppl expect it, it's wrong...but if it's offered I'd say go for it! :P

That's exactly the same here. With Adam, we lived in North Carolina, no family close so no shower for that. Now it's a girl and we're here in TX with all our (my husbands) family around and they said they wanted to throw me a shower. That is why I'm having such a hard time with my registry, I just don't know what to put on there. I put in for a playyard yesterday, can't be bad to have one after all and autie whoever (I don't think I have ever met her) wanted to buy a big item...so...a playard it is.

One of my friends probably won't make it to the shower on sunday. She is expecting a babygirl on the 21st (repeat c/s) and has been laboring since last weekend but doctors are not concerned about it. I don't think that her little girl will stay put until sunday...too bad but soon enough she'll have somebody to play with and the best is..her babybrother was born two months before Adam so they are best buds already. I love our little playgroup.

Adam will start Children's day out in September. He'll go twice a week from 8:30 am until 2pm and there's only six kids in his group. We pay 12 bucks a day so it's affordable and it will keep me sane not to have him around for a little.

Eveline...you really ARE getting close. It seems like just last week you found out you were having a girl...and now she's almost here! Have fun at your shower.

Drew sleeps through the night now. The last 2 nights, in fact, he's slept more than 8 hours straight!! This is so great for me. I don't think I've gotten more than 5 hours straight sleep in over 6 months...seriously

They grow so fast!

I feel like I peed on the test just yesterday and now...there's only 32 days left. CRAZY. I cannot imagine having another baby here. I sometimes just sit in their room and look at the beds..one toddlerbed, one crib, and it just doesn't want to seem real to me.

That is wonderful! It is a great feeling when they sleep through the night. I keep thinking about trying to keep Jay up all afternoon so I can get a full night sleep since that is what worked when she was at grandma and grandpas. I hope she is like Drew because that is when I go back to work.

Ks I hope the babysitter works out that is a great price!! We got Jaylyn's babysitter to lower her price from 30 to 25 dollars a day. That will save us 100 bucks a month. Sense she won't charge half a day and that is all we need her for. I told my husband stay at school at get his homework done and if he needs tutoring get that in too. And if I ever have to pick her up I am getting all my shopping done first.

Eveline I remember with Jay thinking it was so surreal too. I can't imagine 2 little ones at this time. You are going to be so busy. That is awesome that your family is holding a shower. What a great family. :luv:

wow you guys are so lucky with your childcare! where I live you have to pay $20 an HOUR for decent childcare.

We are definetely thinking about having an Aupair in a couple of years. It's cheaper in the long run (costs more in the beginning of course) and you know you have somebody there 24/7.

I'm feeling much better thanks! I love the new pics of Zaid too, especially the one with the sunglasses...so cute! Wow, $10/day is awesome. We're paying $200/week right now, but I'm about to start searching for someone cheaper. Also, the lady he goes to now is not putting him on any kind of schedule. He's not napping, which I don't mind so much, but she carries him around on her shoulder all day long and he's starting to become a bit spoiled. I want him to have some kind of structure to his day also.

yeah we thought about an AuPair too, but I don't know about having someone live with you 24/7....I think I would have to install nanny cams everywhere.

Hello Ladies,

It is so nice to see all the baby pictures. My little Derek is 4 months old today. He has not slept through the night yet. I am getting frustrated, I don't know how to get him sleep through the night. He wakes up every 3 hours. He only drinks 3 to 4 oz of milk at a time. He is on a formula. Last night was the first night I put him in his crib in his room. He has been sleeping in our room in a play pen. It was a rough night. I had to wake up 5 times to see what's his problem. I want to get him to sleep better, because I go back to teaching in a month. Oh I would love to sleep least 6 hours at a time. Anyone has any suggestions?

Thanks ladies.

I don't know if there is a definite solution, but Drew sleeps best when he gets a bath before bedtime. Every night, I put him in a warm, soapy bath...let him kick and play for a while...and give him a gentle lotion massage before putting him in his pajamas. This does the trick every time.

 Cute!!

Are babysitter is not licensed by the state so we nogatied. We can write child care on our taxes either. Cause she doesn't claim her babysitting. She went to high school with me and was a couple years younger. We found her through our neighbors. I can't imagine paying 20 dollars a day. How can people afford that? I just imagine if I received that much for 25 students I teach full time per hour. Or even 25 dollars per day per kid. Teachers would have nice huge salaries.

I am hoping to get Jay on a schedule to before I go back to teach. She hates baths so that won't work. Jay screams at the top of her lungs once I put her in the bath tub. How do you get your son to play in the water? When we get back from Jamaica I am going to try to get something going. Nothing is working so far. She only sleeps 3 to 4 hours most of the time.
