@Neworleans: We're getting there. Good to see that you are getting everything lined up. DH still didn't put Adam's new bed up. I guess we'll have to buy him a new crib if that doesn't happen soon. I'd like to transition him to a toddler bed before the baby gets here but I doubt he'll sleep in it. We'll see.

@Autumnchick: I'm doing good actually. Yes it is exhausting and hot and uncomfortable but my legs don't hurt (yet), I still don't have no water anywhere, I'm just all one big ol belly that is sticking straight out. One lady tried to be nice the other day and told me I wasn' sooo big and then she said "But, believe me, you'll gain the weight real quick now"..ummm...thanks  . I found a calender that I made for Eric yesterday and there are pics of me in rather skimpy clothes but all I saw was my belly. Holy sh*t, I used to have abs. I was VERY active did cheerleading, gymnastics, dancing etc and now...I just sit on the couch all preggo...argh. I want my body back and I hope I can lose the weight after pregnancy. With Adam I was fairly quick but you know what they say...that it takes longer with every pregnancy. We'll see. It's 5am and I'm wide awake thanks to my husbands snoring and a thunderstorm. I guess I'll get through the day on only 5hours or sleep...yawn :D .

Zaid goes to the babysitter for the very first time today, im a nervous wreck..i feel like i havent packed everything they might need, yet i cant think of anything else, we have 2 change of outfits, socks, a hat for outside, diapers and wipes, a paci (even tho he wont take one) lotion and tylenol, butt paste, a blanket and his boppy....any other suggestions??!?!?

reason zaid goes to the babysiter is cuz hubby FINALLY got a job, and not an odd end, taxi job or gas station, a REAL job, with a PAYCHECK, and all the benefits, insurance profit sharing, etc.the best part is, he is my dads partner, my dad is a chemical engineer so the hubster will assist him, he will work m-f 6am to 330pm..couldnt ask for anything better right? the money isnt all that great, but it is a start! im SOO excited!

Such cute babies everywhere! I can't wait for my turn now!

The round ligament pain is getting progressivly worse and on top of that, I had morning sickness today! Has anyone else experianced morning sickness in the 3rd trimester? Being pregnant is not fun!

I'm still having morning sickness in my third trimester and round ligament pain. Luckly my doctor gave me pills for my morning sickness and they've been a big relief. I belief that the nausea is common and there's really not much we can do.

I am skipping breakfast now to avoid the bad morning sickness. For some reason, it seems to be better after 10am.

Kelly...congrats to Sofyan on the new job! :star:

VJ Hours - I am available M-F from 10am - 5pm PST. I will occasionaly put in some OT for a fairly good poo slinging thread or a donut.

Sorry for the morning sickness ladies. I'm glad I don't have that. The only thing I can really complain about is my braxton hicks and even that is manageable. All the best for those last weeks.

What does that feel like? Has your baby had the hiccups yet? That one always puts a smile on my face. :star:

Ok...Kavi is still having a hard time with teething, crying a lot and needing lots of attention and holding. I think I said one tooth came out but the other hasn't yet. I have tried almost everything I have heard of...dissolving teething tablets, orajel, teethers...nothing really has helped. Maybe the baby tylenol does a little. He sleeps at night thankfully, but my days are hectic lately. He is napping right now finally, which took a lot of time for him to fall asleep with me having to lay next to him. I am getting worn out. I want that tooth to come through!

autumnchik-You are so determined! I am happy that things are getting better and better with the BF-ing and I hope the RX from your Dr helps with the milk.

Kelly-Congrats to Sofyan on his new job!!

Eveline-Glad you aren't fully exhausted yet. Do you think it's because it is your second pregnancy? Were you really tired at this stage with Adam? Just wondering b/c I noticed after becoming a mom you have to work through certain things that you wouldn't want to before since you have another life to take care of. Like for example, if I got a bad cold in the past I would just want to lay around. Now that I had a cold with a baby, I had to keep being a mom and work through my sickness, so it made me stronger I guess and you have to tolerate more stuff in your own body in order to be there for them. Hope you continue to feel good!

JP-I hardly experienced any braxton hicks before my labor started, which always made me worry about going past due date. But I didn't! For me it was a tightening of the belly if I was walking fast for example. If I slowed down and breathed deep it would get better. But it didn't happen a lot for me.

N.O. Bound-I have heard some cons about the wipe warmer, like it dries out the wipes. I have the diaper champ, I got it for sale at Big Lots and still it contains the smells wonderfully!! I never smell poopy diapers in our house.

Just thought I would give an update. I had my first appt with my ob after I went for my u/s last week. She told me she just had this feeling I was carrying twins even before I went for my u/s. It is funny because I had that same feeling more than a week before I went as well. Otherwise, everything is going well and I have an appt with her in a month and an appointment with a perinatologist the following week. He will be doing a consult with me (twins automatically makes the pregnancy classified as high-risk, not to mention a cervical procedure I had done last year and a family history of preeclampsia) and then performing an u/s that same day.

It is refreshing to hear that this fatigue will pass. Everything else (the mild m/s, etc) is tolerable. However, I have never required much sleep. As an infant, my mom would lay me down in the crib and I would just stare at the ceiling and never nap. Lately I have been taking 2.5 to 3 hour naps in the afternoon! Thank goodness for summer vacation during the first trimester!

It's hard to believe that I have 40 days left before this baby arrives. I just bought my stroller today. I have a list of things I still need to get. The change table is last on my list with diapers. I'm still trying to decide if I want to get the wipe warmer and the diaper genie. I've heard pros and cons for the genie. Tomorrow I pick up the baby swing and nursing pillow from one of my coworkers. I still need to get some more receiving blankets and I'm also trying to decide if I want to get the Fisher Price infant-toddler rocker. I picked up my breast pump last week. Speaking of Breast pump, I'm still having excruciating nipple pain. My OB says that it's a build up of prolactin. I'm still here typing with hot packs on my boobs! I hope the pain goes away when I give birth. I finish work July 5th and will have a month to rest hopefully. The baby is due August 4th but I pray every day that she comes much, much earlier, like the end of July. And that's it for my update.

We've got the wipe warmer and the diaper genie II. They both work great. Ayman hates it when the wipe are cold so the warmer is great. We never have any problems with the diaper genie smelling either.

I've heard that the diaper genie makes a lot of noise when you put a diaper into it. Is that true? Many of friends have tried to convince to go for the diaper champ instead.

I am now in the process of gathering all the items I need for baby Taleen. Can you ladies share with me the best and worst baby products you have used? Anything from creams and medications to strollers and playmats. I just want to see what will be the most useful and what I should pass on. :star: Thanks in advance....

Off the top of my sleep deprived head (Declan was a stinker last night!) .... here are some faves:

Halo sleepsacks - we bought the newborn size that had a swaddle feature and Declan loved that. The newborn size goes from 6-12 pounds, but if your baby is long, they may outgrow it quickly. My son is a long, skinny kid (only 10 pounds but too long already for the newborn size, his legs were scrunched). We just bought the next size up.

I love the stroller we have. It is a travel system made by Graco. What I love the most is that this particular system came with a Safeseat car seat. Graco has 2 models for carseats for infants, Snug Ride and Safeseat. The Snug Ride holds them until 22 pounds I believe and the Safe Seat is until 30 pounds. So I like that we can use the carseat a bit longer.

Pack n' Play has been great. Right now, Declan sleeps in it, and we also use the changing table. When he is a bit older and in his crib, we will put it downstairs so we have a sleep/changing area there.

For me, because I struggled so much with breastfeeding and was pumping constantly, I am glad I had the Medela Pump in Style initially. Then I rented a hospital grade Medela pump. The Pump in Style is pricy though.

I had a coupon for Pampers Swaddlers Sensitive Skin, so I bought a pack and loved the diapers. They have a line on the front that changed from yellow to blue when wet (making it easy to know when to change him). However, they are the priciest of the diapers, so we are not using them now. I have tried Luvs, Huggies and Pampers and prefer Pampers. I liked Luvs until we had MANY leaky diapers.

Instead of getting a changing table for the nursery, we bought a changing mat that fixes to a dresser top and I really like that.

I like Aveeno baby shampoo and wash. It was a gift and I am going to keep buying that brand. I also like disposable changing pads (in case the changing table when out is public is even too gross for you to want to put the changing pad that came in your diaper bag on it!!!).

That's all I can think of so far.

Wanna hear my gross cloth diaper stories. Pee diapers go in the pail right away (trash can with a snap on lid) and poopy diapers are being cleaned out in the toilet either by just letting the poop fall into the water (and have Adam say Bye Bye to it, hehe) or actually dunk it into the water to get the worst stains off. After about three days I wash a load. Yes, his poop stinks (like adult poop) but since the lid is tight, I don't smell anything. You don't smell that there is a baby in the house. Wipe warmer...never bought one because I heard that they dry out the wipes. In the very beginning I used warm water on ADam's butt but now he don't care anymore. Regular wipes out the box are fine.

@JP: Yes, baby has the hiccups a lot but it's not as annoying as with Adam, maybe because I can't concentrate on it so much. Braxton hicks contractions make your belly go all tight...like a rock and it is painful. I guess the later on you are the more painful they get (if you do get them at all). I start waddeling when I have one and feel some pressure on my bladder. It's not nice, especially since I sometimes have to sit down in public cause it hurts so bad. People look at me all funny, hehe.
