Such cute babies everywhere! I can't wait for my turn now!

The round ligament pain is getting progressivly worse and on top of that, I had morning sickness today! Has anyone else experianced morning sickness in the 3rd trimester? Being pregnant is not fun!

I had morning sickness in the third trimester.

I hear you about being pregnant I don't want to do it any time soon. Get lots of rest now.

I'm trying to rest but the baby is not making that possible on most days!

VJ Hours - I am available M-F from 10am - 5pm PST. I will occasionaly put in some OT for a fairly good poo slinging thread or a donut.

Do you have a recliner or some kind of padded chair to sleep in? I know most of my pregnant friends ended up sleeping sitting up in a recliner for their last month or two-- they said it really helped with sickness and pain, breathing, etc.

I have actually tried that. Didn't work. I have tried sleeping while sitting...nope. Its very difficult to get rest when the baby's foot is jammed in your rib cage. Oh well, I know she will be worth all of it. It just feels like the last trimester goes by SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO SLOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW! :crying::crying::crying:

On the flip side, I'm trying to keep myself busy nesting. We finally ordered a crib and dresser so I can start putting her room together. My Dr. also wants me to start working on my birthing plan. So hopefully by the time I'm done with that, it will be my baby shower (July 20th) and then I can finish the baby's room, install the car seat in the car, pack the hospital bags and whammo it will be Aug 30th! But.....it's only June 23rd. :crying:

@Chrissy:

i think Eveline has posted today in the german thread.

@Belwin: I like how that sling looks. I bought a hotsling, but I returned it. It wasn't working for me at all. My back hurt like crazy (all the weight was on one shoulder) and I had rug burn on my shoulder after 5 minutes of wearing it! I don't know if I used it wrong, or what... Ben liked it, he fell asleep as soon as I put him in it.

I am still looking into slings, and I like that sling you're interested in buying, since it seems to divide the weight onto both shoulders.

I do think that it'll get pretty hot no matter what sling you are using during the summer.

@ks: glad that Zaid is doing better. I think that the pill will make your period even shorter (that's what happened to me)

I had my period for day 1 and 2 that I took the placebos and that was it. My doc gave me the thumbs up for tampons, exercise and everything else I did pre-pregnancy.

@Stina: awwww I can't believe how big Kavi got! what a cute little monkey~! :star:

Savanphil-The pictures are adorable! Happy 1st bday! I can't believe he is a year old. When he was born was soon after I found out I was pregnant last year. Time flies!

chnst-Are you fully recovered now from your hip?

JP-I know it feels like it's dragging for you right now, but once the baby is here it will seem like it went by so fast. And I am sure it's hard to rest being uncomfortable but get as much rest during these last 2 months as possible because things will be totally different once the baby arrives. :D

nanny-That's great about the sleeping through the night! Kavi does sometimes, but not consistently.

Married since 9-18-04(All K1 visa & GC details in timeline.)

yeah I'm getting there... I can walk and carry the baby but I'm slow and it looks like my right leg is always dragging... But the Doctor said that it'll be fine in just another couple of weeks. I think I must be crazy or something, but hubby and I have been talking about having another baby in about 3 years...

Chnst - Hubby and I must be crazy too, because we are also talking about another kid. Originally, when I talked about birth control options, hubby suggested just not doing anything to prevent pregnancy and see what happens. Of course, I told him he was out of his mind! We now are planning on birth control for at least 6 months and then discussing it again. Hubby is 44 and his biological clock is ticking :) LOL

Okay, so here is my update on the breastfeeding saga of Autumnchik and Declan:

I cannot believe it has been nearly 7 weeks of this already!!! Over the 7 weeks, we have tried every possible position, sought help from 3 lactation consultants and a maternity ward nurse, used nipple shields, used a feeding tube/syringe thing to encourage him to suck, pumped for a minute beforehand to draw my nipple out and stimulate the letdown, taken fenugreek and blessed thistle to increase milk production, tried to help him get very hungry so he would latch better (advice from a pediatrician) - which then caused him to be frantic, so then we tried to give him an ounce of pumped milk before feeding, pumping every 2-3 hours to keep my supply up, reading every possible thing online and in books about nursing, emailing a physician in Canada who is an expert on breastfeeding. I didn't truly realize how much I had been trying until just now, typing this up.

Sooooo ...... Declan has FINALLY started to latch better AND has begun taking my right breast too (used to only take the left breast). He still fusses and cries at times, and tends to fall asleep, only to wake up frantic and screaming when I take him off to wake him. I had been wondering if something else was going on, especially in the evenings, because it seemed like he wanted to nurse and was, but wasn't getting much milk. So, at my 6 week check, my doctor ran a prolactin screen. He called today with the lab results. Apparently, a normal basal level of prolactin is 70 and mine was 26, so he has prescribed Reglan to hopefully help increase my milk supply.

I wish I had thought to have this checked weeks ago, but better late than never! Here's hoping it works :)

I'm still around ladies. I'm officially nine months pregnant now and I'm still not as exhausted as I thought I would be. Haven't posted a lot here since I have no clue when it comes to formula and acid reflux. I was blessed with Adam being a good sucker and digester.

Good to see that everyone is doing good or doing better. Autumnchick: Thumps up on the breastfeeding. I'm amazed at how commited you are.

@CHNST: Sorry, the sling didn't work out for you. Maybe you want to look into a MeiTai or Maya Wrap. There's a forum www.thebabywearer.com which is centered around just babywearing and reviews etc.

Good luck everybody.

I'm still having morning sickness in my third trimester and round ligament pain. Luckly my doctor gave me pills for my morning sickness and they've been a big relief. I belief that the nausea is common and there's really not much we can do.

It's hard to believe that I have 40 days left before this baby arrives. I just bought my stroller today. I have a list of things I still need to get. The change table is last on my list with diapers. I'm still trying to decide if I want to get the wipe warmer and the diaper genie. I've heard pros and cons for the genie. Tomorrow I pick up the baby swing and nursing pillow from one of my coworkers. I still need to get some more receiving blankets and I'm also trying to decide if I want to get the Fisher Price infant-toddler rocker. I picked up my breast pump last week. Speaking of Breast pump, I'm still having excruciating nipple pain. My OB says that it's a build up of prolactin. I'm still here typing with hot packs on my boobs! I hope the pain goes away when I give birth. I finish work July 5th and will have a month to rest hopefully. The baby is due August 4th but I pray every day that she comes much, much earlier, like the end of July. And that's it for my update.
