Hello Ladies....

Has anyone here ever experianced Round Ligament Pain? Its very painful and my Dr told me to get a maternity belt which isnt really helping. Any suggestions? It only seems to be getting worse but my Dr. assured me its normal. Cervix is closed...no contractions.

Yes I had that(the stretching ligaments that hold your uterus inside) and also had a lot of pain in my hips and groin(too much relaxin released causes this)...I slept with a pillow between my legs at night, in bed is where it hurt me the most. Getting in and out of bed was a huge task b/c of the pain. Nothing really helped besides not being pregnant anymore. I also had bought a maternity belt. I am sorry you are feeling it! I had the pain from about 5 or 6 months til birth. Maybe you should try a maternity cradle, it holds the entire belly. I never tried that though.

YES..I had this too and to be quite honest I still have some pain in my hips/groin area when laying down. It's almost as if his head is still down in there and my hips lock up. It's mostly when laying on my side, when I turn over onto my back, you can hear all kinds of stuff popping. It hurts when it pops, but then it's instant relief. My doctor said if it hadn't gotten better by 6 weeks postpartum that I may want to look into seeing a Orthopedic doctor. I'm sure falling down the stairs and hitting my tailbone really hard at 2-1/2 weeks postpartum didn't help it though.

JP - sorry to hear you are having RLP. Unfortunately, as everyone else said it will only get better with birth. I remember, as Kelly said, not being able to put my pants, socks or shoes on by myself. I had to get my hubby to help me. It hurt like he!! to lift my legs more than about 4 inches up off the ground. Walking felt like his head was grinding against my pubis bone. Ahhh...being pregnant was wonderful, but I don't miss those last 2 months.

day 2 of nutramigen, still crossing fingers

Woohoo!!

I also had round ligament pain. Mine didn't last my whole pregnancy though and did go away after a while, so maybe there is some hope. I got really big, really fast in the end and gave birth to 14 lbs and 4 ounces of baby and ended up with an overdistended uterus, so I'm not sure how it went away, but it did. Maybe because I really took it easy at the end of the pregnancy.

I must say that I'm feeling great right now. I have hardly any problems and while finding a good position on the couch in the evening is not that easy, I can sleep better than ever, the heat is not getting to me as much as I thought it would, I have no cramping, no problems breathing or any water in my hands and feet. I better enjoy that now as long as I can. Who knows when it will change so....knockonwood.

@Shadtov: Congrats on the twins. I had my first doctor's visit at around 8 weeks and then the US at about 10 weeks.

@BelwinMills: I hear you about the bottle refusing. ADam took the bottle a whopping three times and then only when I was not in the house. I physically had to leave in order for him to take the bottle. Chances are, she will probably take the bottle from a babysitter but not from you or anybody at all while you are in the house. They smell the boobie.

@KS: Good luck with the new Formula, hope it works.

Oh my gosh your so right. I went grocery shopping and she took a bottle from my husband. But when I am here no way. I can't believe that all she ate though was 3 ounces from him. I thought she would eat more. She is 2 months tomorrow. I am nervous for her and the shots. Should be fun. I think she was 11 pounds now and grew an inch to 22. I can't wait to find out.

How long before the appointment should I give her the Tylenol? My doctor told me to give it to her before we came.

Met Jan 1998, vows on 2006, Jay Jay born 2008, baby 2 - 2011

belwin good luck on shot day today....zaids are coming next week...remember that every baby reacts different from shots, your lil girl might be as good as can be, you never know...

my sis in law watched zaid yesterday, she also watched him last week before he got on the nutramigen, she said he is a 100% different baby from the week before, she said he didnt even cry..thank god...by the time i got home from work he was out!!! it was nice, but, he was awake at 2am, again at 5am, and again at 7am, so im VERY tired as i struggle to get ready for a nice 12 to 8 shift at the bank today!

zaid does seem to have to groan and moan extra hard to make a B.M. on this new formula, i think the lil guy was sooo use to constantly breaking wind all day that now, hes not, and hes trying to..lol

my bro texted me yesterday, his son is 3 months old yesterday and is 17.5 lbs!!! he was only 6lbs at birth, i can hardly believe it I call him the chunky monkey, here is zaid and his cousin Jeremy Jr at the zoo...

My cousin (she's a nurse) said Motrin is better as it is an anti-inflammatory as well as pain reliever/fever reducer. Ayman has his shots tomorrow. :crying:

Also, someone told me you can give them Tylenol and Motrin at the same time as they are digested differently. Anyone heard of this? I'm looking into this one with my cousin. If I find out, I'll let you know.

Kelly,

Ayman is the same way and don't be surprised if now he only goes once a day. I swear you fix one problem and get 5 others. lol

The only thing I have found effective when he had trouble "going" is to give him some apple juice diluted with water. It seems to help get things moving.
