Stina,

My little boy was also born with hypospadia. We have a consult with the urologist in July, but the surgery won't be until he is between 6 and 9 months old. The doctor also told me that it was pretty common. Doesn't make it less scary for us moms though!!! I'll be thinking of you when it comes time for Kavi's surgery. Keep us posted as it gets closer to the date.

awww...well I guess it is pretty common then huh! I'll def keep you posted!!

chnst-thanks for the reassuring words.

thanks all!

My heart and prayers go out to you both for your little boys. Being the mother of a baby boy, I definitely feel for you.

I use the Medela double electric to pump and store my milk for when I have to return to work :crying: It works great, although it was a bit pricey. I knew I would need it, however, and it's been a great investment.

Drew loves his pacifier, too! And he has NEVER been confused about the paci and the nipple. He is a voracious eater and keeps my milk supply ample. I never imagined my very small breasts could make so much milk!

Evi...I hope you continue to recover. How scary to be so sick when you're pregnant.

Post more pics, everyone!!!

ONE DAY AT A TIME....

LOVE that sentence...don't know why but so true (for me and my fatty-fat-fats).

I got one really funny picture Eric took of ADam but that's not uploaded yet. Let's see if I can upload it real quick.

Here it is. He's not a baby anymore but I hope you don't mind. Eric took that picture while I was getting my I551 stamp on Monday. It's a rubber ball that popped... http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x244/Ev...am/DSC04242.jpg and here, he found the ice cream cup from the night before that daddy left on the couch table...we still have chocholate on the wall http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x244/Ev...am/DSC04207.jpg

Yeah, it is kinda common. My boy was born with a very very mild one, he had his first specialist visit at 4 months old, but his is so mild that doesn't require surgery. As a matter of fact now that he's 2 you can barely notice, the "wrong" hole is right below the "right" one. I am sorry Kavi has to have surgery, but I remember when went through it and the docs at the time told us that it is a lot better than it sounds and they recover pretty fast, also as they told you above, they wait until they are old enough to handle anestesia and pain relievers, but I know how you're feeling...

Autumnchick, hopefully your little boy won't need surgery like mine.

Best of luck to both of you.

Eveline, I had a scare like that too when I was 32 weeks, I am glad it all worked out in the end. Your baby boy is adorable and yes I agree, he is a mini-me mom.

All the babies here are soo cute, congrats to everyone! :star:

Thanks everyone for the kind thoughts and words! I am feeling a little better after hearing how common it is. Still the thought of him being taken into a room where I won't be and put under anesthesia is what freaks me out a little, and having stitches down there. But we have a few months before that has to happen.

Eveline-Adam looks so cute!! Aww he is getting so big.

Thought I would post a couple newer pics of Kavi babu...

Thank you. Yes, Adam does look more like me than Eric BUT he behaves more like Eric (unfortunately). Also, he has selective hearing and started to throw fits whenever I tell him 'no'. At times I wonder if I can ever handle two kids but I guess I'll just have to.

@Stina: Kavi is just sooo cute. I love his big brown eyes. He's a heartbreaker already. Love that picture of him on the white blanket.

@nannygirl; thank you! he smiles a lot, especially when his little belly is full after he eats. :star:

she smiles when she sleeps....and of course i never have the camera....oh well when she gets older...

i know you said something about the binkies...i really didn't want kaila to have one at all...from all the reading i had done about them....well that all went out the window when a hour after she had just eat(wasnt even a day old) and was so upset....broke down and got out the binkie and gave it to her and she was good to go...so i guess some babies just need that extra sucking feeling....oh well...as long as she isn't in college and still needing one

haha, I didn't want him to have a pacifier until he's at least 3 weeks old, well it lasted 48 hours and the Binkie was HIS

he's not confusing it with my nipples and it's supposed to pevent SIDS, so I'm not too worried. I'd rather have him suck on a pacifier than his thumb.

i read that after i started givining it to her...to me that is a big big plus for the binkies!

Well ladies I figured out why I was not getting a lot of milk. I wasn't eating enough. Now I am having no problems and she has not had a bottle for two days. I researched breast feeding on a website and it helped me figure out the problem. I am already 10 pounds less than pre pregnancy. Here is the site for anyone who wants to read it. http://life.familyeducation.com/breastfeed...hers/39370.html

Oh my I love all of these pics. I need to start taking more photos now that I have found our camera this week.

Wow Belwin, thanks for posting that article. Makes me wonder if I am getting enough to eat. I feel full all the time, but just realized that I am taking fenugreek to increase milk supply, which also has a lot of fiber and can act as a bulking agent (making me FEEL very full but perhaps not actually ingesting enough calories). I am really going to pay attention to my eating and see if that makes a diffence. Now, if baby could only improve his ability to latch ...
