Way to go Chrissy. All the best, I'm sitting on pins and needles to hear the result, I can only imagine how it must be for you. Only three (or four) days though. Goodluck.

well bad news, AF showed up full force this morning...can't believe it came early. to be honest i wondered if i really was, i stopped my pill mid cycle and i really think the things i was feeling was due to the remaining efects of the pill. well i am dissapointed, but there is always next month....we are now officially trying!!!

Chrissy, sorry! I know when you start trying for a baby, your mind can play tricks on you or we read into everything so much. It can be stressful! Hoping the next month is the one for you!

@Chrissy: sorry to hear that! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for next month!

@autumnchik: can't wait to hear from you!

here are some pics of my little Boy, he's doing great and growing soooo fast already!

My boobs are KILLING me!!! I nurse him for about 40 minutes and it feels like someone is stabbing me with a knife- then pump for another 30 minutes, because I have so much milk. It's driving me crazy, because he's almost ready for the next round by the time I'm done pumping.

I hope it'll get better soon!

Can you maybe just hand express the milk instead of pumping? Pumping just stimulates your breasts even more to make milk and makes things worse. With Adam I pumped at night only until I felt my letdown, then I just let everything run out and kinda massaged some of the foremilk out and then had him latch on. I believe you that it is stressful. The beginning is hard but it will get better. Try a warm shower (if you can) or washcloth or the 'cabbage leaf' trick. I've never tried it but it's supposed to help with the engorgement. I know a girl from another forum, she couldn't wait for her mik to come in because she thought her boobs will get a lot bigger (which they do). She tried to ignore the fact that everybody told her just how much it hurts and how uncomfortable it is to be walking around with engorged boobs. Everytime I got a little too close to my nipple I was letting down full force. It was embarassing, especially when you are at the cracker barrell and suddenly you feel your shirt get all weg

@Chrissy: I'm so sorry to hear about your 'visit'. I'm glad to see that you are being a trooper about it. There's always next month and maybe - if you watch your cycle - you'll hit it off then. Good luck and have fun trying.

EDIT: About the letdown reflex. I didn't feel it in the first four weeks but then I always had a tingling sensation that went from under my armpits into my nipple (again TMI). Sometimes it even hurt a little and as soon as you see milk leaking from the side baby is not latched on to, you know you are letting down.

Congratulations to all the new mommies!!!! I have missed out on a lot here, but I have been reading through about 10 pages of this thread and I think I am almost up-to-date.

As for me, I am feeling a little strange. I had an u/s done on monday, but the doctor did it instead of the u/s tech and I was very disappointed. SHe idn't explain me anything and I could only guess what I was seeing. It looked to me that the baby was fine and moving around a little, but I could hardly if it was the doctor just moving around with that little u/s head or if it was the bay moving.

Plus, usually the u/s tech would let me hear the heartbeat and that didn't happen this time either, so I feel really uneasy right now.

After my miscariage exactly one year ago, I am extremly nervous and scared that something might be wrong with the baby and I won't notice it until it is to late (again).

I got a little bigger though, but so far I have only gained about 4 lbs total. Is that normal? The doc said everything looked fine and my placenta previa seems to improve.

Last visit, it was completley across the cervix, but on monday you could see that the placenta has moved up a little and only covers the cervix by a third of it's size.

THat was really good news for me because I wanted to fly out to visit my hubby who is in training right now and then we have to fly to Germany in June and I was afraid that I wouldn't be allowed to.

Well, I flew to Las Vegas yesterday and it went well. No problems other than that I got really really sick on the plane.

I was curious, when did you all start to feel your baby moving? I sometimes think I feel it, but I am not sure. It feels a little like I have a butterfly in my hands and can feel the wings fluttering against my hands. But I have read about it and I think it is more in my imagination.

Again, this is me worrying that I should feel something and the fact that I don't, means that something might be wrong again...

So I tell myself to just be patient and wait a couple more weeks...

But yeah, around what time did you feel your baby?

@Evi: thanks for the tips, I'll try it out. I was guessing that the pumping would make me produce only more milk, but it just hurts and I just want them empty!!!! waaaahhhh!!!

@nane: don't let it stress you out, I'm sure everything is just fine with your little one! He would have told you if there was reason for concern. I didn't feel my baby move until about 20 weeks, but I felt a flutter like you described the first time I felt him.

good luck with your pregnancy! You've made it past the critical 12 week mark, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you that everything will be fine!

Nane, i didnt feel flutters until 20+ weeks and did not feel actual movement until like 26+ weeks...every pregnancy is different, every baby is different, you are past your critical stage, relax, take a deep breath, and enjoy being pregnant, after what youve been thru im sure its easier said than done, but the worrying will make u nuts...good luck with everything...

as for me and my little man, i cant believe he will already be two weeks old on tuesday...hes already gained about a lb and has grown one inch....quite the chunker i have...i must say, the first few days were very hard adjusting, but, alas, i busted out the swing, and HE LOVES IT....sleeps and sleeps and sleeps in the thing, sometimes 3-4 hours....when i would put him in his bassinet or crib, one lil noise would make him jump and he would be awake screaming, now, he lets out a lil mousy cry and the swing puts him right back to sleep...ahhh mommy can relax...my recovery went well, baby blues had me very emotional, worrysome, etc for a few days but now im feeling great now that my breasts are back to size (not breastfeeding) and my stitches are just about healed....tmi i know, but, how uncomfortable it was to sit....i only have 5 more lbs of baby weight to lose (ive lost 25 of the 30) and i cant wait to be back into some normal clothes...my tummy was VERY stretched as most can imagine from a 9lb baby, so my skin is Very loose in my mid section, so im just waiting for it to tighten up a bit, then, off to buy some new clothes...

other than that, being a mom is great, sometimes i get so weepy seeing my husbnad with him, my hubby will kiss him, look over at me with a HUGE smile on his face and say "gosh hunny, i just love him so much" it makes me melt....

i could go on for days, but hes ready to eat, AGAIN! lol...I wish everyone well who is pregnant, and for all the mommies a wonderful Mothers Day!!
