hang in there ks!! I was determined on delivering him tonight by pure willpower, :innocent: but nothing so far... not even Braxton Hicks.

i guess my baby has decided to be fashionably late (just like his dad) and wait for the next full moon.

Wow, congrats Shauna .... can't wait to see pics and hear about your birth experience :)

@ Eveline .... I can totally relate to the breathing and shaving difficulties! It seems like, in the last week or two, my baby has decided that he needs ALL the room inside and mommy doesn't need ANY. I keep thinking I can still do things like bend over or even sit down comfortably, and then of course, I am sorely mistaken  And you should see my legs ... I have never had so many shavings cuts, I just can't seem to do it right.

As for me...breathing gets harder and so does shaving...ugh. I'm glad this time I get to wear flip flops all pregnancy long though.

I just bought a pair of flip flops my feet are so swollen my shoes aren't fitting any more. I can't shave any more hubby will just have to deal. At least in his culture women usually don't shave so its no big thing. Heartburn has gotten worse also. She has gotten so big there is no space for her anymore. Someone at the grocery store asked me if I was having twins how rude. I told here she is 6 pounds and a few ounces she was amazed. I am as big as a boat now. Then after the grocery store I went to the maternity shop to get nursing bras and night gowns and the lady said that I didn't look that big at all for being due so soon so that cheered me up. What shall I do this week with no work. I think I might go crazy. I am just glad I get to rest my feet for a little bit. My mother wants the baby to come right now. Why I ask this is her second grand kid and not her first. I think because its a mix raced baby she is excited to see what she will look like. and she has a third one on the way in November. Oh yeah and she is begging to be in the delivery room and I have said no. Do any of you ladies have a problem with your mom wanting to be there? I just really want it to be me and my husband. I think she understands but then she calls and starts asking again plus she was there for my nieces birth.

@Belwin: Kudos to you for telling your mom that you don't want her to be there. It is your right to decide because it is such an intimate (although not very pretty) situation and if you don't feel comfortable having your mom around then she should understand. Of course she wants to be there but she can hold the baby right after it is born or so.

I had my MIL with me when Adam was born. she was a big help and I think I broke her fingers while contracting. I was glad she was there since she took over the very first night we were home and I could sleep a little. I don't think though that I would want my mom to be in the delivery room. Wouldn't feel good about it but since she is in Germany anyway, that is not an option I have to deal with.

Good luck for the last couple of days. Hope baby girl will make her entrance soon.

@Belwin: tell her that the hospital policy only allows one person in the delivery room and that is your husband!

My mom wanted to go but I told her she's more than welcome to sit in the waiting area and hubby will keep her updated.

She accepted that without complaining.
