Way to go consolemaster.

To all the "ready to pop preggos" here...THE WEEKEND IS DRAWING CLOSER...are we gonna have some babies within the next days or what? No pressure :whistle::star:

As for me...I had some pretty strong contractions today. I don't know why they came or what I did. I drank some water and it's a little better now but that sure wasn't funny...

Hi everyone. This will be my 1st post on this topic. I'm glad I found it too. Congrats to all who's expecting and who has had their babies! I'm at my wits end here and don't know where to go. I found out I'm pregnant and been having a hell of a time trying to get some help during the pregnancy. Here's my story....

This is my 2nd and I'm roughly 7-9 weeks along so far. Maybe more or less. Hopefully I can find out soon. I recently found out that I was supposed to be added to my husbands insurance within 60 days of getting married. Well that has long passed. I've been married since November 21st, 2007. The insurance rep for Keiser that deals with my husbands employer pulled some strings to get me on my hubands insurance by April 30th, provided I get my SSN. Well thats a struggle in itself. I have my EAD and AP in hand, yet my A# still says "pending" on the SSA's computers. So, there is no way to get on my husbands insurance before the end of this month.

I called Medicaid to see if what I had from Immigration is enough to qualify for Medicaid, they said no. I don't have a green card, so I can't get it. Only thing I can get from them is emergency Medicaid AFTER the baby is born. That wont work. I need prenatal care. The hospital in my county has a financial assistance program, but that is pretty much paying for everything in payments, no discounts. The county health dept has limited resources. Maybe I can get on WIC, but who knows.

I don't know what else I'm supposed to do. My husband cannot afford a seperate insurance for me and I cannot wait until October to go on his. I don't know what else to do. I can try writing to Congress, but what will that get me? If there is anyone else who has gone through this, or if anyone knows what other options I have, please let me know. I'm stressed beyond belief. I live in Georgia, if that helps. Thanks in advanced for any help.

Mary

Hi Mary, welcome and congratulations on the pregnancy!!

I hope, your SSN issue will be solved soon. I had the "pending" problem too. Finally, someone from SSA called USCIS and asked what is going on and they added my A# to the system. One call after weeks of waiting and then I had my card within 5 days. Amazing, how things work and don't work...

Hi. I was just at the SSA office this morning and asked them to call USCIS and they said they dont do that. The woman there was really rude. I had been to that office 4 times and seen her 2 times. Each time she has given me attitude. She did say I could call their 1-800 number and have them try my A# over the phone, so I'm going to have to do that until things are straightened out.

Try that and if that won't help, try and go to another office. Actually, my husband demanded to speak with a supervisor and then things went really smooth. I don't know why some people have to be unfriendly or rude, still amazes me...

Is there a way that you an be added on your husbands health insurance with a temp SSN? When I got my military ID and got enrolled in the tricare system (th militarys healthcare system), they just gave me a made up number until I got my real SSN.

I tried that with the SSA. I asked for it the 3rd time I was there and they said they could have only issued a temp SSN with my I-94 that was not expired. Well I dont know why they didnt tell me that the other times I was there. It doesnt look like I'll be getting on my husbands insurance. In order for them to use just my A# on the application, they have to mail it in, but because it has been more than 60 days since we got married, we cant do that. We were going to do the application online, with my SSN, but cant now. I had went to a different office on Tuesday and was able to get my son his SSN because his A# was in their system, but not mine. Today when I went, the woman said they will not process my sons application at the other office because I dont have a SSN. It is just one big headache. I'm still looking for other resourses. I have both senators in my state I could email, along with someone who works at the tv news station who helps people with different situations. I just finished emailing Rosie O'donnell lol. If I have to contact 100 people, I will lol.

Go to another SS Office and give them the EAD, tell them you need a SSN in order to work. Also, if that doesn't work call your congressman. You have the right for insurance and just because the lady is a little lazy at your office is not an excuse for you to go through pregnancy without insurance. It's not just your health SHE is as well putting as risk, but also your baby's health.

Good luck and congratulations on your pregnancy.

HI everyone! MISS YOU!! Have been doing the Mommy thing and haven't had too much time to check VJ. How is everyone?? I read a few pages back and there are so many of you about to have babies. Best wishes for safe and quick deliveries.

Nicholas is already over 2 months old! How time flies. We are doing well. He still only wants to sleep with me, which I don't mind, but a lot of people give me a lot of grief for it. I try about once a week to get him to sleep in his bed, but after 5 minutes he screams. He wants to be with his momma  I miss my husband, though, so it would be nice to get back into bed with him (the baby and I are sleeping on the couch). On top of that, for the past 2 days he has been extra fussy. When do teeth start coming in? Could he already feel soreness even though I don't feel any teeth?

Hope everyone is doing well! I can't wait to see the new baby pictures!
