Oh my. I'm so sorry. My placenta was previa on my first US at around 10 weeks. When I had the other US done at 20 weeks it had moved upward. As your uterus expands your placenta might move up too (acutally that is what happens in most cases) and you'll be fine. Just take it easy. If you do start bleeding again..don't wait, see a doc right away since it can be dangerous for you and peanut (but you probably heard that more than enough already). I'm wishing you all the best and that your placenta moves anytime soon. If it won't you'll most likely be put on bedrest and have a c/s in the end since you cannot have that baby vaginally.

BUT...don't forget as with everything here in the Baby Corner POSITIVE THOUGHTS

i also had previa, was found at about 12 weeks, cleared up by my 20 week ultrasound....did u or do u smoke? My doc told me thats what had probably cause mine, which is why i quit that day and have not had another cig since......The good news is almost all the time the placenta moves where it needs to be, and worse case scenario, a c-section would occur...just do not life anything heavy, and do not, have sex, or strain when going #2...lol...my doc recommended Colace...a stool softener...we all know what pregnancy can do to our tummys....so, just be careful...

as for me....im miserable...this little guy does not want to come any earlier than he is suppose to....I am feelin alot of pressure, but am still closed....according to doc...if i dont go before this weekend...i see my OB again on monday....

Ditto, ks, I hope, your little one will make his way into the world very soon!

Thanks for the kind words, girls. I have never smoked in my life, but I gues my risk factor was a D&C last year whn I had a miscarriage at the same time I am now. Seeing blood now totally freaked me out.

I am more than willing t rest and do nothing but rest until I hear something positive.

The tricky thing is: We are moving to Germany in June. I will be 20 wks by the time we are supposed to fly and I hope and pray, it will move up by then.

At least to the point where my doc gives me the ok to get on the plane.

Next week we are getting our household good shipped and after that I can relax and breathe...and until then, my poor husband needs to help out in the household department... :innocent:

Maybe you can squeeze in an extra US or the 'big' ultrasound right before you leave for Germany just to see if your placenta moved up. Sometimes it doesn't move until 30 weeks but I guess that the bigger you (your Uterus) gets the more likely your placenta is to move upward.

I will have the next u/s scheduled in 3 weeks, and I will have another appointment the week we would leave. My doc indicated, that she would give her okay to fly if she sees some progress and I am sure, she would do another u/s at 20wks (right before we are leaving) to make sure it would be ok.

I honestly have no idea what I'd do if I can't fly in June, we are pretty much homeless by next week, I will be in a room on base while hubby is TDY and then we are supposed to start over in Germany. SUCKS!

I'm sad to say that at our U/S today we found out that our little mini has become a little star angel. Good luck to all the moms & moms-to-be... we hope to be back in the mom-to-be fold again soon.

I just got back from the doctors. She is 6 pounds. Everything looked good and doc said maybe why I am threwing up is acid reflex. I doubt it but we will see. I was hoping she was bigger cause I want her out. Her head is down and ready to go. Doc will start checking my cervix next week. I have another ultra sound next week because the doc said she is under weight. I think she is good my niece was born at 6 pounds and was fine. I just have to make it through 2 more days of work. tomorrow will be a long day. We have a chorus festival until 5:30p.m. May my feet and back survive.

Nane sorry to hear you are having problems. It looks like you have had some great advice from the ladies. :star:
