@Carshel: DId the membrane stripping hurt? I always hear it hurts like crazy. I hope hope hope to be GBS- this time so they can - if offered - strip mine if there are no signs of labor later on.

Yes it hurts like h*ll during, but the Dr said it would. They also said there is a possibility of some spotting and cramping. I did loose my mucous plug the day after they did it last week. Today I am just feeling some slight contractions, but nothing rhytmic or consistent. I don't think I would do it again. Since I have had it done twice now and it has not caused enough progress, it does not seem worth the pain. Either way, at least I know something will be done this weekend. I've been so misserable the last few weeks that I'm ready for it to be over.

Carshel - Hopefully things will move along now. Good luck!

Nanny - so sorry to hear, but at least the baby is healthy and has a strong heart beat. Wishing you the best.

Leney - What a beautiful baby! Wow, no pain meds .... I am so impressed. I am still trying to decide what feels right for me regarding pain meds.

Eveline - Heads do lots of funny things, like put anxious thoughts in them (lord knows I have had enough of mine!). Try to replace that first thought (which isn't always rational) with the second thought that you still have time for the baby to turn.

Oh no nannygirl...that almost sounds like me back in 2007 (except for the protein). It is so frustrating when NOTHING is moving along. I can totally understand you are a little upset.

@Leney: Congratulations on your baby boy. He is precious and what a great birth story.

Speaking of labor...I think I'm driving myself nuts about it. Especially after DH told me yesterday that No2 was considered breech at the ultrasound two weeks ago. I know that there is PLENTY of time for her to go head down but I'm scared that I get this oportunity to actually have a VBAC and then baby is breech...oh well. Let's wait and see. I even dream about labor at least once a week. I should just relax about it, I know that in my heart but my head is doing completely different things.

She will most likely turn by the time delivery comes and I wish you a very quick and pleasant vaginal birth as you want it. But try to focus on the result...there is really no pretty way to give birth, so what matters is that she comes out and both of you are fine afterwards  I know it's hard but worrying won't do you any good unfortunately :star:

Thank you girls. I'm trying to stay positive. I can feel her little arms and legs EVERYWHERE. Sometimes she's more on the right, then on the left or even toward my ribs or every now and then I get a hit in my bladder. She's still squirming and turning around.

@Carshel: I hope for you that the contractions will become stronger soon and that your little one is coming within the next days. If not then you still have a couple of weeks.

They are not going to let me go past this weekend thankfully. They are already worried about him being a big baby. If he isn't here on his own by Friday, they will make him come on Sat or Sun whether he likes it or not...lol.

@Carshel: good luck girl!!! there are so many babies coming over the next few weeks!!

@Leney: congratulations on No. 4!!! wow, how do you handle them all????

@Evi: don't worry, I have a feeling you'll be just fine with number 2. I'm sorry that you had such a negative experience with Adam!

I had a doctors appt today and he said it could be any day now!!! I'm so anxious!

I am GBS negative. I think thats good.

My doctor hasn't done any internal checks but he'll do one next tuesday along with another ultrasound to see how big he is now.

yup!! it is frustrating when there is NOTHING i can do about it but lay down and wait...and i am not the waiting person...i had the u/s done today and everything looked perfect she passed with flying colors...so i guess the best news in all of this is that she is doing great and healthy and could come out at any time and there would be no worries...thanks for the support ladies!

i wouldn't worry about that yet....she can still flip around even at labor....~~sending you head down vibes~~

WEll, the problem is that there won't be any labor if she's still breech at around 38 weeks cause they not gonna let me do a VBAC with a breech baby.

We went to the Dr yesterday and now 2cm dialated. They striped my membranes again and said if it works to put me in labor it will be within 14-48 hours. We go back on Friday for a sonogram to see how big he is and then they will induce this weekend if he does not come on his own before then. So, we should be meeting our son by this weekend! Hope everyone else is doing well.

Crashel hang in there :)!! Can't wait to see pics of your little one soon.

Hiya :D It's been a while since I've had time to post unfortunately - but I just wanted to share :D On March 12th (16 days early) my water broke and we went to the hospital and 5 hours later we had a gorgeous little boy Keiran Joseph. He was 6lbs 10oz and 20 2/3 inches long. I think this is the final addition to our family, though I still wish we could be guaranteed a girl if we tried one last time (since we have 4 boys now lol).

Congrats!! He is cute. 4 how do you do it. Your strong and no drugs wow.

ok here is the deal....i had to get a non stress test yesterday...as well had some blood work and i had to do a 24 hr collection....the 24 hr collection came back high with protien and my b/p was high so i have been orded so bed rest...i have to get another biophysical ultra sound this afternoon and then go again on thursday for another non stress test and i have to get my b/p taken at least 2 times a day... She is still very high hasn't dropped the found my cervix it is all the way in the back very high and not dialated at all still closed....so there plan is to see how the ultra sound comes back and to see how the nst goes on thursday....if she doesn't come by this week they will either induce or do a c-section depending on how things go this week....and to think i was having a near perfect pregnacy and wham....oh well the good news is the baby is perfect and fine and healthy heart beat is great and strong so that makes me feel a lot better!

Shauna I am glad to hear the baby is O.K. Sorry that your having complications hang in there. Hopefully you will have some good news soon.

I went to work this morning and the nurse sent me home. :crying: I had the thrown up in the morning. When I got to work my back ached feet swollen and I was sweeting. The nurse said I didn't look good and to go home. I was like who will teach music today you guys are short on subs. They asked the tech aide to teach my class. I came home and slept until 5pm. I am so ready for this pregnancy to be over. We will see if it ends next week. I can't wait to see the ultra sound tomorrow. I am so sick of throwing up its not funny. I am going to ask the doc if I should stop working tomorrow.

Wow there will be a lot of babies arriving here soon. Stay strong everyone!! :luv:
