Tracy, thanks for sharing that! Congratulations again! You're a trooper!

Hope my delivery will be like yours!

he's so adorable!

@Stina: wow I can't believe how time flies by, Kavi looks so big already!

I'm getting really impatient now!! We're so anxious to have our baby, as we are in the process of moving and we can't move everything until the baby is born because I already picked out the hospital and its too far from our new house.

I'm going for a long walk every day now that the weather is better and I think the baby might have dropped a little. I'm having trouble going to sleep and I have to get up every 90 minutes to go to the bathroom...

@Belwin: hope you're feeling better! I can't believe you've been working up to this point in the pregnancy! You're some tough lady!

Tracey thanks for the great labor story. He is so adorable.

throwing up is common in third trimester. If you are having a fever call your doctor. I didn't know that I had a bladder infection for about a month and it made me very sick.

Chrissy congrats on the new house!!

I am so glad this is my last week of work. My feet have started to swell like cantaloupes. Standing all day is a killer. The waddle is in full force. I get to see the baby this week and doc decides if its a C-section next week or vaginal.

We are all ready for baby no crib is up, changing table and the whole house is clean except for our bedroom. I can't clean anymore my feet hurt to bad.

It's hard to find time these days, but I wanted to post a brief description of my childbirth experience.

My labor began Friday evening, the 4th. When my contractions were every 5 minutes apart, I went to the hospital. About 15 minutes after checking in and getting the monitors on me, my contractions begin to become much more intense and close together...about 1-2 minutes apart. I opted for the epidural. It helped, but wasn't 100% effective as it only numbed half of me

My contractions slowed a bit with the epidural, so I received Pitocin. This really kicked things in to gear, and I went from 4 centimeters dilated to 10 in just a couple of hours. The epidural had completely worn off by this point, so I was really feeling the pain. (Labor is no joke!) Just when I thought I couldn't take it any more, I realized I needed to push. The doctor definitely encouraged me, so I started pushing with every contraction, which was like every couple of minutes. In less than 15 minutes, the baby was out. Everyone was amazed that I pushed him out so quickly. I joked that everything I learned about pushing, I learned from watching "A Baby Story"... :D

Anywho, the entire labor and delivery was about 11 hours long. I received 1st degree tears and had to have a few stitches, but nothing major. I didn't even need any pain medication, although it was offered about a dozen times. My baby boy took to breastfeeding like a fish to water, which was such a blessing. Besides very sore nipples for a few days, breastfeeding has been amazing. (FYI -- Lanolin REALLY helps sore nipples)

The whole experience was incredible. My little boy is incredible. I just look at him and cry with feelings of overwhelming amazement.

Congratulations TracyLuis! All the best going forward.

We went to the Dr yesterday and now 2cm dialated. They striped my membranes again and said if it works to put me in labor it will be within 14-48 hours. We go back on Friday for a sonogram to see how big he is and then they will induce this weekend if he does not come on his own before then. So, we should be meeting our son by this weekend! Hope everyone else is doing well.

Tracy - Thanks for sharing your birth experience. It's always nice to hear from others.

Hiya :D It's been a while since I've had time to post unfortunately - but I just wanted to share :D On March 12th (16 days early) my water broke and we went to the hospital and 5 hours later we had a gorgeous little boy Keiran Joseph. He was 6lbs 10oz and 20 2/3 inches long. I think this is the final addition to our family, though I still wish we could be guaranteed a girl if we tried one last time (since we have 4 boys now lol).

Forgot to add:

Labour & Delivery Story:

This was my third pregnancy/delivery.

My hubby and I decided to enjoy each other's company (as married folk do lol) and immediately afterwards my water broke, and we rang L&D and they told us to come in right away to make sure it was amniotic fluid. We got to the hospital at 11pm and the contractions only just started. We went up to the 5th floor and checked into the hospital. The contractions were mild and only 7-10 minutes apart at first. They hooked me up, checked me (only 2cm and thick), tested the fluid, then admitted me. I was allowed to walk around, which I did for about 30 mins. They rechecked me and I was 4cm and still thick. By then the contractions were getting to be a bit ouchie, so I asked if I could go into the shower. She said "Not until 2:30am, we want you on the monitor a while" so I laid there breathing through waiting patiently for 2:30am - 2:30am came and they said "well give us 10-20 more minutes then you can get in the shower" Finally at 3am they let me in the shower and I stayed there until nearly 4am - when I got out, the contractions were horrible, the most painful I've ever experienced and every 2 minutes. It was to the point where I couldn't tell when one ended and one began. They rang the doctor and told him to come in and that I was now at 7cm and he said "I have time, I'll be there in about 30 minutes." Well, he didn't make it there in time, at 4:20 my body started pushing on its own, and the nurses were so sweet they said "do whatever you need to do, doctor or no doctor" and in two pushes, my sweet little boy was out and screaming at the world. There was no time for any sort of pain medication (thankfully) so like my other deliveries, it was 100% natural, drug free and the most horrific pain yet! But it was so worth it :D

ok here is the deal....i had to get a non stress test yesterday...as well had some blood work and i had to do a 24 hr collection....the 24 hr collection came back high with protien and my b/p was high so i have been orded so bed rest...i have to get another biophysical ultra sound this afternoon and then go again on thursday for another non stress test and i have to get my b/p taken at least 2 times a day... She is still very high hasn't dropped the found my cervix it is all the way in the back very high and not dialated at all still closed....so there plan is to see how the ultra sound comes back and to see how the nst goes on thursday....if she doesn't come by this week they will either induce or do a c-section depending on how things go this week....and to think i was having a near perfect pregnacy and wham....oh well the good news is the baby is perfect and fine and healthy heart beat is great and strong so that makes me feel a lot better!

Oh no nannygirl...that almost sounds like me back in 2007 (except for the protein). It is so frustrating when NOTHING is moving along. I can totally understand you are a little upset.

@Leney: Congratulations on your baby boy. He is precious and what a great birth story.

@Carshel: DId the membrane stripping hurt? I always hear it hurts like crazy. I hope hope hope to be GBS- this time so they can - if offered - strip mine if there are no signs of labor later on.

Speaking of labor...I think I'm driving myself nuts about it. Especially after DH told me yesterday that No2 was considered breech at the ultrasound two weeks ago. I know that there is PLENTY of time for her to go head down but I'm scared that I get this oportunity to actually have a VBAC and then baby is breech...oh well. Let's wait and see. I even dream about labor at least once a week. I should just relax about it, I know that in my heart but my head is doing completely different things.
