I have no idea when to start taking the birth control pills...

the doctor told me start them last Sunday but I didn't because I only have the one pack right now and my doctor didn't give me a prescription for them yet and she is away on vacation right now ..

I was going to start this next Sunday... but then I was doing some reading and they said to wait about 4 weeks after giving birth...

so now I am wondering does it matter when you start??

I have an appointment to see the doctor on Feb 4th.. so I wanted to wait to start so I could get the prescription when I went to see the doctor...

I was just wondering if it mattered how soon you started taking the birth control after giving birth,,,

Lizzy, wow, you will have your baby on Monday! I am so excited for you.

My doctor says he won't induce prior to 41 weeks. I hope my little guy will come out by himself. And yours too!

Its soooo normal NOT to have nay contractions now hon, maybe your having them and not even feeling them, that can be normal too, i am getting lots of Braxten Hicks ones on an evening but none during the day.

Wow, this tread is busy! Welcome to all the new preggers and best wishes for all the soon-to-be mommies!!

I had an appointment yesterday and my sweet babe measured 3 weeks bigger (36 weeks). My OB said that next appointment I get an u/s to see how big he really is and to see which way he is sitting. I am so excited to see him!!! Anyone ever had an u/s at 35 weeks? I am too excited! Maybe I will have a January baby??

Hi Anna! I had an U/S at 33 weeks because I got a stomach bug that dehidrated me and caused what seemed to be early labour because I started contracting, so they kept me overnight and did the u/s to check how the baby was doing and how big he was etc. in case I would deliver that night, which thankfully I didnt since it never really was any pre-term labour but just scary contractions. The baby at this stage is really big so you won't get to see the whole as you used to be able to, but if he cooperates and shows his face you will get to see it sooooo good it will pretty much look like a pic (esp if it's a 3D, thats what they did for me)!! I still have the shot and I had to frame it!

Good luck with everything!

Hi! Happy New Year! I am getting so excited about this baby! It is going to be soon! I am taking my mom with me as she has never seen an u/s done (they didn't do it back then) and she is excited. I have warned her that he might be all scrunched up. I have read that I might be able to see if he has any hair on his head...I am secretly hoping he does!! I am sorry to hear about someone stealing your son's picture. That truly is creepy. He is a beautiful child and growing so big!! It happens fast...doesn't it? :help: Ciao!!

I am also getting excited about the baby. I can't believe the time is almost here.

He gets hiccups about 2 times per day, but I always feel bad for him when he gets them, hehe! It doesn't bother me, but it seems like it would be annoying for him. He so squished in there! I still love feeling him move around too. My stomach is getting even more big and hard, and I can usually tell where his butt is (above my belly button), it's funny. His movements are more like squirms now, not really kicks.

My next appt is Tuesday finally.

Marilyn-I would call the Dr's office and ask them, explain why you are wondering when to start the pills b/c Dr is away, etc. They might be able to give you more even if the Dr isn't there.

After giving birth I really missed not having a baby moving around in my tummy anymore. It's kind of weird but I really loved being pregnant. Would I do it again? NEVER! lol Well not now at least.

Thanks for reassuring me, Lizzy!!!!

Are you counting hours already?

I feel crappy pretty much all the time. They say those last weeks are really hard and they are not lying. :crying:

Marylin, have you thought about going to see a specialist in maternal and fetal medicine? I have heard they have better understanding of high risk pregnancy and miscarriage problems.

Has anyone else had stomach "issues" near the end? Let's just say I am definitely not constipated. (ew, right? hehe) It started yesterday while I was eating a nice burger, something I hadn't had in awhile! I don't know if it's just because things are getting very pushed around inside and it's causing an upset stomach. Maybe the burger started it, but things haven't been right since then!

Dreams can be very weird or sad sometimes. (F)

I have had crazy dreams every night since being pregnant. I heard it's from the hormones. One recently that freaked me out was that I had the baby and they had to take the baby to get checked, and later when I got to see the baby, it was a baby girl named Rosa(a name we used to talk about for a girl)!! I was like wait a second I thought I was having a boy!! I still sometimes feel paranoid that what if the ultrasound was wrong, and we have all baby boy things, and what if it's a girl!! :o:lol: We won't be ready for that at all!

I already know I'm going to really miss feeling my little boy squirming around inside me. It's been one of the greatest sensations I've ever known!

But I also get really excited just thinking about kissing his sweet little face, too :luv:

Yeah me too! And his feeties!

For me the best part of pregnancy has been feeling the baby move around inside. It's so special, and only you get to really feel it. Sure hubby and others can feel from the outside but it's not the same.
