Hi guys,

I have not been current with what is going on this website and i see it has changed.

Looks prettier though.

My fiance is finally having his interview on March 7th,2006.Do you guys have any advice for me.It has been a long process and it has been busy as i am trying to gather documents he might need at the interview.

do you guys have any suggestions and before i go, i would like to say a big congratulations to those who got their visas

Please pray for us so we get ours too. It has been too long already.

Any suggestions would be helpful as at this time.I heard lagos embassy is a hassle for everybody going through there.

Thanks in advance.

First of all, good luck with your interview!!!! I hope it all goes well and the visa is given to your fiance. It is true that the Lagos embassy does not have a good reputation but it does seem to be getting a little better. It seems to me that the officers in Lagos really want our SO's to "fight" for their visas and not give up easily. I don't know of too many people that have gone through Lagos that haven't had to plead their case before the officer and stand up to the officer's challenges. As far as preparing the documentation, send your fiance everything that might possibly have anything to do with your relationship. My husband took a four inch thick binder of emails, chats, and other documents, as well as two photo albums of pictures. The officer that interviewed him didn't want to see any of it but the pictures and three emails. He insist that the officer was scared of our documentation. It is always better to be overprepared than underprepared and have the visa be delayed while you send him further evidence. One word of warning to you---make 200% sure that your affidavit of support and financial documents are in order and are thorough and complete. The Lagos embassy seems to be really tough on the financial requirements for K-1 visas. Make your case airtight and you'll be okay. Good luck!

Thank you so much for the advice.I will definitely get more than what is required for him.Hopefully everything turns out well.

Thanks guys and congratulations again on having your significant others beside you.It is really not easy without them by our sides.

How are they enjoying their stays in the U.S anyways. Is is diffucult for them to adapt to the U.S lifestyle.I know it is pretty fast and hectic here but with the right support, they will scale through

Thanks again.
