Hey everyone,

I have a question. on the fiance letter of intent.....they ask for the name of the country and embassy located also the embassy address. I will be filing the petiton to california. Do they want the embassy address of nigeria(fiances home) or the us embassy?

The letter of intent is used at both the petitioning stage and at the embassy interview.

If you are sending the letter of intent with the initial K-1 petition to CSC, use the USCIS address.

If it is for the interview then use the embassy address in Lagos.

If you are just filing the K-1 to California, then use the California service center address on your letter. Once it's time for your SO to have the interview, you make another fiancé letter of intent that is dated closer to the interview, and then you use the address of the appropriate embassy with this letter.

08/26/08 - Card Production Ordered (no interview)

08/29/08 - Welcome Letter Received

09/02/08 - Green Card Received
