PB, I don't know what's going on and why the delay but I'll assume that it has something to do with him building the apartment. I can understand your stress and panic. Just remember it's very normal to have last minute delays, jitters, doubts, worries, etc. This is a life changing event! So he's delayed a few days, weeks even a month or two. I know you want him here ASAP and that you had all of these plans but remember, he's got his visa and he can come at any time in that respect. Try to be calm and patient. He'll be here when he gets here and not a moment sooner. Everything happens in its own time. Try to find ways to keep your mind off of things. Don't let this cause problems in your relationship. I'm speaking from experience here. I can't tell you how many arguments and fights I had with my husband the last three weeks before he got here. I was a basketcase some days because of the stress. Thinking about how my life was going to completely change was unnerving. I can imagine you're going through much of the same. Believe me, once he's here this will all be a fast and distant memory.

Take care of yourself and don't be too hard on your fiance. Remember, he's moving to another country and leaving behind all of the comforts of home and family. Take it easy. (F)

Oh wow PB (F) it's gonna be ok.

Moody speaks words of great wisdom. You really have to give him all the space he needs to do this -- it's a HUGE change in his life. He may need more time to wrap up some things. It's even possible that the visa came so much faster than he had expected, and he didn't realize he would be facing The Big Day so soon -- maybe he just needs to prepare himself mentally. Men will not EVER tell you they are being "emotional" -- they will make up all kinds of excuses. So you have to discreetly read between the lines.

Anyways, I know you're trying to plan a wedding and arrange time off work and juggle a million other complicated details, but just grit your teeth on this. And the hardest thing is going to be to try not to let your own disappointment weigh on him too heavy. Give him time to prepare for this move -- whether it's emotionally or whatever -- and use your time for you. Soon insha'allah all this separation ####### will be a distant memory, and you can move on to being annoyed at all the new problems of learning to live together, filing AOS, etc.

Hey at least this way, you have a loophole to give the imam the slip lol -- with all the last-minute changes, you can just "forget" to tell him when your fiance is arriving, and then y'all can have your hug at the airport after all :)

Hang in there...

You guys are so sweet, I'm glad I posted them :star: I love that church too, and you can see the entire San Fransciso Bay from there as well which I will show you as soon as I get my photos from the photographer. The reception hall was located just downstairs so it really made everything easy for us. I have another pic of the church the shows the ceiling which is also beautiful. However the pictures don't this church justice at all, its breathtaking in person. The floor and walls are all marble, and the icons you see are all done is metallic mosiac tiles with a gold background.
