AP means Administrative Processing and it happens after the interview (it includes, among other things, numerous security checks and name checks). Its pretty much standard for any Arab male so I would plan on it, and its often especially lengthy for males coming from Egypt (as well as a few other countries). The thing that really sucks about it is that it can last anywhere from 2 weeks to several months and once you are in it information about status is very difficult to come by. There are several threads about it in the MENA forum. But the bottom line is, you should plan on it and you should start preparing your fiance for it so it doesnt come as an ugly surprise after the interview ...

I know its easier said than done but you just have to be patient and hang in there :)

Faith,

Hang in there Girl!!!!! Don't lose your Faith. Inshallah it will go quickly......you have covered all the issues with good supporting documentation so maybe it just takes them a little longer to read through your file than others in the similar situation. Who knows the others may end up in AP at the end. But let's hope not....we wouldn't wish that on anyone. I iwll keep you in my prayers. Keep me posted as always. If I can help let me know.

Cheryl
