Best way to post packet 3 back to embassy?

does anyone know the best way to post packet 3? do you send it regular mail, return receipt requested or confirmed delivery or something else??? I remember some poster sending it by special delivery and it ended up stuck in the mail room for weeks and don't want that to happen!! how did everyone send their packet 3 back to the embassy??

Some Embassies allow you to submit it in-person. You can call to check if they will allow it.

I sent mine recorded signed for, got there 2 days later. I would imagine something like post getting lost only ever hapens one in a million

I sent mine back by normal post.

When Josh contacted DOS last night, he was told the embassy had received all my paperwork on the 10th and that I am now eligible for an interview but one had not been scheduled for me yet.

We sent it by special delivery on a Friday evening in the middle of the post strike and they got it the following Monday morning, and then we had our interview just over two weeks later. It was pretty crazy! The point is that I don't think it was because it was special delivery that the packet you're speaking of was stuck in their mail room.

We sent ours special delivery as well, and I got confirmation from the Royal Mail that it had been delivered on time. It did take a while to get inputted into the system, but this had nothing to do with it being special delivery -- I assume it was just waiting in the pile to get entered.

I used DHL Lite but that was because of the postal strike at the time.

I posted my packet 3 back by signed for delivery so I could track it on line, I got no conformation of delivery. When I phoned apparantly they received everything apart from the checklist It was sent in the same envelope.

When I sent the checklist again by signed for delivery I did get a delivery notice when tracked online. Yet when I phoned it still hadn't registered after 30 days, when I emailed to query why? I got my packet 4 within 4 days.

I do think whatever method you use that you do have to follow it up if you don't hear anything after a week or two.
