There's no reason at all why she can not study. They will probably make her register as an out of state student though and then it's about 10x more expensive than normal. I tried to register and they did that so I had to fill out a form showing I am a California resident. Proof like utilities/drivers license was needed to prove it.

well in regards to an ESL class, and at our local community college (where you would go, brad, since you are my neighbor!)....the ESL classes are available in either 4 units or zero units. my husband chose the zero unit class meaning he was not charged to take the class. you don't get credits towards a degree if you choose zero...but i think ESL wouldn't count anyway, so why pay for it?

check and see if zero credits are available for your wife wildllama!

Depends on the school. One school told me they will need to see either an EAD or an AP card (I have neither), but if I do get in and my GC isnt there by then, thats what I will have to do.
