HELLO ALL,

Does anybody have any idea usually how long it will take before she will get the GREEN CARD?

What form do we have to fill up to make the extension on the GREEN CARD so she can come and visit and stay after more than a year.....................WHICH FORM TO FILE FOR EXTENSION IN GREEN CARD?

as far as my understanding ......................she needs to come every year just to maintain the GREEN CARD................but we want to do the extension so she can come after more than a year...........and still maintain the GREEN CARD............

any help will be appreciated.............

thank you

my first GC on CR-1 visa took like 2-3 weeks, but she can go to US CIS.gov, schedule INFOPASS and get 1 year stamp, and also inquire about greencard,

also if they sent you Welcome to USA letter, then there is case number in the corner - you can check it online, may be GC is already mailed out

Your mother's situation is unclear to me. You say she arrived in America a month ago. Is that when she filed for the GC? If so she will probably have to wait for several months for it. It took about a year for my wife to get her card after filing for AOS. Maybe it is faster now. Has she looked into filing for Advance Parole? My wife had a family emergency, presented medical evidence of it, filed for AP and got it in one day.

Good luck.
