Christmas in the UK or US

This will be our last Christmas apart As we are hoping to have an approval sometime in February it didn't make sense to spend the extra money on flights. So I'll be spending my last Xmas in the UK with my mum, sister and my new nephew

Christmas in the UK...we leave on Dec 19th until Jan 6th. We are also taking my parents and another member of the family. I'm looking forward to it, even it it does mean 2 weeks of parents and parents-in-law under the same roof

I feel your pain! Last Christmas, we came over to the States for our wedding (1st anniversary in 15 days! ) and brought Bruce's mom. All three of us stayed with my parents for a MONTH. That is definitely NOT an experience I would like to repeat, and wouldn't even wish on my worst enemy!

Actually, one of my favourite Christmases ever was the one the year my ex-husband and I split up, and I was home alone in my postage-stamp-sized studio flat in Marble Arch. I got up late, opened one of the two bottles of champagne my ex had given me, cooked a huge curry, took lots of naps, drank more champagne, talked on the phone, went for a stroll in Hyde Park, finished the first bottle of champagne, watched ####### telly, opened the second bottle, and so to bed. No family, no freakouts. Simply awesome.

Christmas with my family in the US and then to the UK for New Year. We will be back in the village in Cumbria where my husband lived for 20+ years. Looking forward to lots of time in the pub.

We're fortunate enough to be heading over to the UK on the 24th, arriving Christmas Day. We come back on New Years Day. So not as long a visit as we'd like. But we found a great price on tickets and I didn't have a steady job at the time. I still can't wait to go over. It will be the first time I've been back in almost 2 years.

Christmas in the UK - it will be our first Christmas together as my OH is flying out Monday and getting here Tuesday - am soooo excited!! He is going to learn how we do Christmas as I love Christmas with my family and his don't make a big deal of it - if we can't get Christmas in the UK next year then at least he'll know I have high standards!

We will be apart for Christmas this year, however we're opening presents together on the webcam with the children. It won't be the same, but we're saving our pennies for his trip over for when we get married. I'm hoping before May. It will hopefully be our final Christmas apart.

I'm having christmas with my son, parents and brother and family. I think it will be our last get together for a while.

Next year I will be in the states with my "new" family.
