What with the yuletide season nearly upon us I was curious as to where UK VJers would be for the holidays? Are many of the VJ old-timers heading back to the UK? Are those of you still awaiting your visas planning on heading over to the US? Perhaps some of you are taking a break in more clement climes?

I'll be heading back to the UK - flying to Heathrow and then getting a plane up to Newcastle. It'll be nice to have some mulled wine and mince pies and, of course, British Christmas telly!

Christmas in Connecticut looking after my parents' dogs and cats -- the parentals are off to London to spend the holidays with my brother and his family.

You know, every time I visited Connecticut in the winter when I was living in the UK I thought it was so super when it really, really snowed. Now I'm back permanently, I think it's pretty for about 5 minutes and then I'm cursing it, like everybody else.

For us, since we're still mid-VJ, he'll be in the UK and I'll be in the US. However, I'm flying over 19 Jan, when we'll celebrate our belated Christmas! Our last one apart and I am betting future Christmas hols will be spent here too since I have young(ish) kids.

Christmas in the US. We got here last year just before Christmas and plan to always spend Christmas here. It's a much bigger deal in my family and the only family Neil has is his mom who hates Christmas so she doesn't care if we're not there. He'd much rather be here anyways because we actually have fun! I'm going to see his mom in January as a little surprise for a few days because I'm going to Germany. Just hopping on Ryanair (god I can't wait ughhh yeah right) and headed to Newcastle from Frankfurt for a few days. Hopefully she will be happy for the company but probably not.

Life is a ticket to the greatest show on earth.

We'll be in the US for Christmas. But right now we are in the UK. We got here on the 1st and leave on Sunday the 16th. Been a nice visit. Managed to spend more money then we wanted. Partly my fault. Just can't NOT shop whilst I am here.

Since we only got here last month, Christmas in the US for us. I've only had one huge cry about missing stupid British things (most of which can be found here anyway, but I was in a contrary mood that day..) and since we just found a house it will be great to be in by Christmas (despite our furniture still being somewhere mid-Atlantic.. but I do have a Christmas tree!)
