I just have a random question. After the petition is approved do they send EVERYTHING (including the e-mails, e-cards, etc.) that was submitted to the consulate where the interview will take place?

I sent everything I had and the box weighed 12.5 pounds. Is the USCIS going to ship ALL of that to Africa?

I suspect they may toss stuff they deem to be redundant.

K-1 petition only needs some supporting evidence proving that you met the person, The evidence of relationship like emails, chat logs, phone records are needed to be brought to the consulate for the interview.

Our petition contained evidence of meeting in the past 2 years, and a few emails, chats, and phone record. It weighed no more than .5 lbs.

You don't send the affidavit of support when you file the petition. You get it to the foreign fiance(e) to carry to the interview.

Yup, Yup It's needed at the interview, but not for the submission of the petition.

WOW, 12.5 lbs? I sent a couple pictures and some plane ticket stubs, that was it, haha. I can't imagine what you put in there to make it weigh 12 lbs!

Wow 12.5 pounds . Sounds more like a baby than a visa petition. I hope sending all that won't make them delay sending it on. I guess they probably get some really good bulk postage rate on thier shipments. My K1 should be just behind yours. Same center , same country and only about 2 weeks difference in filing.
