I go no activities.. That stupid online system is useless...no help at all..naadaa!!! The last activity I see was back in February. I'm also worry why my I-130 states they received it January 31, 2008 when they actually received it December 12, 2007.

I got so tired of waiting that I just took a one week trip halfway around the world to visit my wife!!! It's been an expensive waiting process and especially extremely emotional.... I hope there's some progress soon for all of us.

I feel like we'll never get our approval! everything is taking way too long

Here is my story. I've lived problem free life, payed my taxes. One day I decided to marry this girl. But to do so would require her to come to US of A, and so it started. My problem free live turned in to free problems from USCIS! Sure things turned to unsure, certain dates turned to aproximation within months. All logical thinking was out the door, as I filed my papers withing famous Vermont Centre!

One good note...

If you filed in December or around that time, it appears that EVERYONE was able to see their case online right on Feb.24, 2008. And also received their hardcopy NOA1's in that same week.

With that being said, I would think that if one person get's an approval notice, the onslaught of other notices will come at the same time.

Just my humble opinion.

They appear to be processed based on actual physical receive date. So you should mainly pay attention to the 12-12 date.

The Sept-December filings should start moving faster….hope..hope.. I’ve seen some September filers going through already. While January-March seem to move even faster than ours, based on time between “send” and NOA1s.

We can only hope that they continue to increase the USCIS work force and speed through the 07 petition flood.

Patience and endurance…. The greatest things in life are always worth waiting for.

I wish us all the best of luck for a quick approval.

According to your time line, you haven’t received NOA1 yet on your I-130. Is that correct?

You should have been receipted by now. I thought all December filers have been.

Did you send your petition to the Chicago Lockbox?

chet,

i know what you mean!

i check the uscis website at least thrice a day and even check my inbox every so often, hoping against hope something has happened while i was away from my computer! ha ha ha

something tells me, by the time we're thru with the entire petition process, we'd know by heart how things are done given the time we spend reading on it! perhaps we should volunteer our services to the uscis once we're in the us! he he he

(sorry, i'm still trying to figure out how to copy a post!)

I leave the U(seless)CIS website on virtually 24x7. I refresh the page every 30-60 minutes and constantly look at the processing date page to see if they provide any new updates other than the one from February 15...all of this while trying to keep focus on work.....I have the e-mail notifications sent to blackberry in case I'm in a meeting....Despite all of this, there is no momentum on USCIS side and thus gets quite frustrating!!!

I agree with you that we all could work for them after enduring this audacious process. I bet our experience could qualify us for Gonzala's job!!!! We can help make it less painful for all.

Good luck my fellow friends in waiting agony!!! I hope we all get some positive news soon!!!

I'm going to vent.. and I hope no one take this to offense. I am not sure if anyone in the forum follow-up on the political scene here in the US. I've been reading the news about USCIS putting more focus on naturalizing people before the November election because of a big push from politicians (mainly Democrats). If you read the latest news from USCIS, they plan to complete 36% more than last year, just in time for the election.

Now, don't get me wrong. As an American citizen I think it is a privilege to vote. However, I think that being reunited with one's family and loved ones is MORE important! I'd gladly give up my voting privilege for this election (considering none of the candidates are worth #######). I don't want to sound non-patriotic as that would be far from the truth. I am very proud to be an American.... but at this point I feel like the 36% increase could be better use of resource to focus on getting families and loved one together!! I don't understand why they can't focus their resources on something as important as getting families together sooner!!!

Here is one reason why:

Money.

Let me say it again....M....O....N....E.....Y.

That is how this whole country is set up and that is why so many people from other countries want to come here. To make a buck.

If a politician can get a few more registered voters , that means more lobby people throwing money their way to show up and give their YAY or NAY on bill passage, etc...etc. And the more citizens that can vote,...ergo the more lobbist and the more money that flows right on into that never-ending money pit.

So, in answer to your question...NO, USCIS is not concerned about the reuniting right now because of the pressure from the politicians for new voters.

Also, the news about USCIS having one of it's adjudicators asking for sex doesn't help either.

Either way, I would advise to simply find a hobby that you enjoy and don't think too much about being with your loved one right now. (atleast that's the subliminal message that USCIS is trying to BORE into my head whenever I call them). lol

Because my elected officials and all the candidates running are not doing any thing to benefit any of us in any fashion in a way that would allow us to be with our spouse, I will abstain from voting at all this year. None of them are even remotely close to focusing on legal citizens wanting to be with their family... instead all I hear is BS plans about illegal immigrants that will never get resolved... It is so annoying how government can make something so simple complicated... ALL WE WANT IS TO BE WITH OUR LOVED ONES!!!!!
