Character Count in Signature

Hi,

I couldn't find any information on this topic so I thought I'd ask my question here. I was wondering what the maximum allowable character count is in a profile signature.

I tried to update my timeline in my signature but received an error message, stating that my signature was too long.

It isn't much. When I tried to add onto mine when we filed for AOS it wouldn't let me.

I got the same message a while back when I was updating my timeline. It wasn't that I had too many characters, it was that I had too much formatting.

I wound up abbreviating a lot, using "&" for "and" and so on.... After the GC, I removed a lot of the 'extras' and just kept milestone dates in...
