I-864 required documents

Hello everyone!

I have a question about the I-864 document and what you send back with it. I am sending off my I0864 today. I want to be sure that I include everything that they will need. I have sent the following:

1. I-864 (Completed and signed)

2. Printed and Signed copy of the tax return for 2006 (I filed Electronically)

3. Copy of the acceptance of my Electronic Tax Return for 2006.

4. Tax Transcripts for the 2004, 2005, and 2006.

Will this be enough?

I-864

• IRS transcripts OR copy of IRS return (1040/W2/1099) but both are unnecessary, transcripts are better.
• A Letter from employer, stating job description, salary, part time/full time, permanent/temporary, on company letterhead.
• A few recent pay stubs.

I submitted 3yrs of ITR's... But I think 1 is enough now.. Also if your not submitting assets and co-sponsors.. I suggest to just use I-864ez.

As mentioned above.. You will need your latest paystub, and Employment Certificate..

Are you sure that a pay stub and emploer letter is required? The instructions say this is optional.

Well since you mentioned is optional.. I guess you could do without em..

But If I were you.. I would include all all the optional requirements for backup. You don't want to risk delay and get an RFE for insufficient Documents..

I'm telling you.. Their are crazy like that..

I would agree with Roserick, send as many of the optional supporting evidence as possible and don't give them any reason to delay the process. I would use the tax transcripts instead of the return as I have heard that it is the preferred tax evidence. Also I seem to remember there being an additional requirement if you sent a return, I don't remember what though.
