Hi all,

I want to create a thread to track NOA1 from Chicago …

Please post when you sent 1-130?

What service center?

Actual date on NOA1?

The date you received in the mail?

Thank you

Today is December 12th I don’t expect to see any movement until end of December but you never know

Hi, I sent my I-130 on 11/09/07 and delivered on 11/13/07 at NSC. I have not heard anything ever since and my check has not yet cashed. I've call customer service twice and they said my application is probably somewhere in the mailroom. I was hoping someone can tell me if I will recieve NOA1 anytime soon? My husband and I are so worry.

I've already posted my date in the timeline section for everyone's reference.

Thanks!

I am not even sure at this point that Chicago will be the place issuing the NOA-1s as USCIS hasn't directly stated or implied that. It would be nice if they would.

Actually if you look at the receipting updates, it does say as of December 7, the I-130's have been transferred there (Chicago Lockbox) for data entry...

Hi VJ friends!

We sent our I-130 to Nebraska November 19/7. Our postal receipt says it was received there Nov 21/07. We are not sure if it would have been forwarded to California and then to the Chicago Lockbox or if it was sent directly to Chicago. Either way....no notices, cheque not cashed as of today. We are now reluctant to send our I-129F as we have no idea where our I-130 will ultimately end up.

...this is bureaucracy gone over the edge..pure madness!!!

..but God is good and still in control! God bless and Merry Christmas to you all!

Yes you are correct; however, it says nothing about if Chicago will be issuing NOA-1s. Chicago is merely doing the initial data input and then the file is returned to either CSC or VSC. With the flux that things are in and Chicago not normally processing anything, it seems unlikely they will be issuing the NOA-1s but I could be wrong.

From that receipting update it looks as though the Chicago Lockbox is about 4 months behind (if I am understanding it correctly). :(

Chicago Lockbox

Form Number Date Received

I-130 8/20/2007

All Other Forms Current

Can anyone confirm that this is the correct way to read that?

Thanks,

I overnighted my I-130 to Chicago lockbox on Dec 20. USPS tracking indicates a signature (someone is actually there?) upon delivery on Dec 21. Anticipating a 3 - 4 month wait for NOA 1 based on current data from uscis.gov. Merry Christmas. :crying:

I sent to Vermont Service Center with green USPS return receipt stamped Oct. 12, 2007. No word; check not cashed. "Lockbox" is a good term for this bureaucratic black hole. All we can hope is that there are more bodies in Chicago to work on this than there are in St. Albans, Vermont! :help:
