Well it's been 2 weeks since we sent it and it's been confirmed that it arrived on the 5th of April. They say that the payment has been applied but no NOA1, is this normal, cause I'm really worried?

Apparently some take longer indeed. We're having NOA1 wait of 3 weeks, and sometimes people don't receive their NOA1 'cus some signature was missing, so the case is sent back to the petitioner, to submitt the proper signatures.

Because it's being forwarded on to CSC (at least, I think they still are), it takes a while longer. Try to be patient -- it's a skill that will serve you well in the coming months.

If you paid by cheque the receipt number will be on the back - this will be the number that appears on your NOA 1 - then you can log on to the USCIS and track your case online.

TSC has always been slow and don't be too surprised if your petition is transferred to CSC. Good luck

be patient a bit longer...we sent our petition to TSC on feb21st, it was then transfered to CSC and received by them march 1st, it took another seven days to receive NOA1

Thanks, I wasn't sure due to the swiftness of other cases here on VJ. We payed by money order not by cheque, is there a difference?

It happens sometimes that people will recieve their NOA2 without recieve their NOA1. Nothing to worry about.

I also sent my application on 4/4/06 to TSC. I haven't received NOA1, but my lawyer did yesterday. TSC transfers K1 petition to CSC. NOA1 from TSC is very alow. If your check is cleared, things are moving, though slow. Good luck!

Be patient, getting your NOA1 will most likely be your shortest wait of the whole process since your going through TSC/CSC, dont use all your energy up just yet

Yes, this is the shortest wait for you... mine took about two-three weeks to receive!!! Now... waiting for the NOA2 is the killer.... it's been over a month and counting.... be patient or you'll drive yourself crazy, I've found that a nice glass of wine every night helps me cope with the lonliness!!!!!!! LOL
