I don't get it. This boy is obviously too young to get a license...unless there is no age restriction?

I think letting a 5 year old handle a gun is just wrong.

Education is a wonderful thing. Safety and skills learned at a young age will help lower the chance of accidents ... especially curiosity accidents.

Learning how to safely handle a gun is fantastic and I'm all for it. I would never have handled and shot a gun unless I had lessons.

But 5 just seems way to young to handle a gun- especially a shotgun. I barely trust my 5 year old stepson with his toy light saber.

It wasn't a shotgun used ... it was a rifle (youth) meaning sized for a small person.

Each child is different and each circumstance is different (where you live, family, etc). Some people at 23 have less ability ... maturity ... than a 5 year old.
