I can somewhat buy into the "had to give it a chance because there were kids involved" argument. Gotta keep the kids best interet in mind. That's at least how I feel.

But then, a cheating spouse is not exactly something we're worried about.

I think the only people who forgive cheaters are:

1) Cheaters themselves who feel most people cheat and it is natural

2) People with low self-esteem- fear of being alone, they did something for their partner to cheat, or they can't find someone better

3) Highly religious who would even forgive someone who murdered a family member

I don't fall into any of the above and would hope to have the resolve and self respect to kick the person to the curb.
