Hiya Folks,

Came across this forum while doing some searching on google.

I've applied for my wife's visa, CR1. So far everything has gone very smooth, last week my wife went for medical examination. Now we are waiting for an interview date, hopefully :-)

I was just wondering if anyone can offer some insight on the interview process. Especially, how personal the questions get, so that my wife is mentally prepared to respond to them.

Thanks in advance.

The question range from simple to more complex. Your wife should be prepared to answer question concerning you and your source of income, your family (names, jobs, and the like), how you to met, when and why you decided to get married and so on. Your wife should also take evidence of your relationship to the interview; anything that shows that you've spent time together (like wedding photos and other pictures), and anything that indicates that you are currently communicating (letters, emails, phone bills, etc). If available, you can also bring anything that shows that other people (family, friends) know of and acknowledge your relationship.

In short, your wife needs to be prepared to convice the consular officer that your marriage is genuine.

Good luck on the interview. My husband was only asked very basic questions of how we met, when, about the wedding, how long was I in Pakistan, my kids, our co sponsor? Nothing initimate and it was only about 10 -15 mins in length.
