lol I'm making pasta tonight I'll give you the recipe tonight! I don't use a recipe I just eyeball it. basically half semolina half ap flour 1 egg and some water! I'll give you the recipe tonight. I'll measure it for you hehe

it is a flour...

Semolina flour is ground from the endosperm of the hard durum wheat berry and is the perfect flour for your pasta making. It is also yellowish in color.

Semolina is the name for the coarse grit or middlings of endosperm after the finer flour has been separated. Some mills refer to this grind as farina or grits.

Semolina flour has very high levels of protein and cellulose (the substance that helps keep the cooked pasta firm).

It can also be used as an alternative to corn meal to flour the underside of fresh pizza dough to prevent it from sticking to the pan.

If "semolina" is made from soft strains of wheat, it is usually white and when boiled turns to a soft pudding. Commonly known throughout the U.S. as 'Cream of Wheat'. This is the version that is used for puddings, cereals and polenta.

ah, i think i know what it is now. still, i dopnt have one of those pasta roller pin thingy, you know? I usually use a bottle of vodka

ok I have a pasta roller so it's easier for me but I have a rolling pin for other things and I never get it out I usually just use a glass or my hands and wing it

hey, what are the best lasagna noodles? The no boil ones are any good?

I haven't had a lot of luck with the no-boil ones. They don't seem to turn out right. But any old box of regular lasagna noodles seems to work well.

I ended up having a pb&j sammich last night for dinner. I was so mad because I wanted to cook something! we have a gas stove and stuff but the starter is electric so I would have had to light the stove with a lighter or something and I didn't want food that bad

I love pbj sandwich. I don't eat very often. I bought a small jar of low fat grape jelly and a strawberry and it's lasting forever (well, the strawberry one I already finished). I think I bought them a couple months after I arrived here, like around Dec 06 .

I bought a jar of the sugar free strawberry jam like a month ago and it was so not good! it has a weird texture unlike jam. not really sure how to describe it. maybe extra thick jell-o?!?!

yes that's how I feel about the one I bought, weird texture, just like jello. But after you spread it on the bread it tastes pretty decent. And a tbsp has like 30 calories, so it's worthy.

In Brazil my favorite was guava jam. OMG, it tastes amazingly good. I miss guava, I can't find here anywhere.

I see guava every once in awhile at the grocery store but they have guava juice at wal mart here all the time. oh I found the brand www.goya.com
