hey everyone! my dieting is going good. nessa stop eating on the weekends! I used to pig out on the weekends too but now I just keep myself really busy and don't even think about eating.

easy for u to say. It'll get worse now hubby will be gone for 3 weeks, so I won't even have my hubby workout for a while.

Alex, yoga is awesome, and more of a workout than it seems at first glance! I like it because aside from the strength & flexibility gains, you really learn about what your body is capable of and what it's designed to do. You'll find that you can do some things easily and some things are hard, and it's just how your body is made and where it excels, which is kind of neat.

Yeah, I find that in yoga classes I get really frustrated because like all the women in my family, I'm naturally short-muscled and have a hard time doing things that ask flexibility of me, especially now that I'm not on any dance teams like I was as a kid. So I thought maybe doing it at home would be better, because I wouldn't have to compare myself to other people in the room, and then feel like a failure or something.

Re: water retention, my weight has been known to fluctuate up to 8 pounds in one day. Once, the week before my period, I gained 15 pounds that stayed on for three days. A three-pound difference doesn't matter; I just try to weigh myself at the same time of day and watch the general trajectory. Rey, however, weighs the same exact thing at any time of day, over and over and over again, despite what he eats or drinks.

I know it's hard not to compare yourself, but I'm not all that great at yoga, and I'm in a class with bendy 18-year-olds, and no one really cares.

i love pilates!! and it works wonderrssssssssssssssssssss!!!! it's really, absolutely amazing...too bad though, i'm never consistent with anything...it's so annoying!! but i have a friend who has two children......TWO children...lol....and she has the body of a supermodel....i guess she was paying for classes.....i have a pilates video....i take it for granted.....but then again, i've had a gym membership since last may--honestly, i've been to the gym, maybe 5 times since then..!!! it's just so hard to fit in, being a full-time student...ugh!! haha...i have a treadmill at home...when i get really in the mood to diet and workout, i'll do about 30 minutes 3-4 times a week....and i see a difference very quickly...

i can be very strong with my diet--but sometimes, when you're just having one of those days....ugh!! it'll just throw you offff.... :(

and guys, i'm telling you....that diet that i posted earlier.....it works...haha...i forgot how well it worked, but i was on it for just a week and a half and people were seeing a difference.....i like following it because everything's so specific.....i don't like counting and whatever...i like being told what to eat and that's it....it leaves less room for cheating, i feel...

anyway, good luck guys!!! i wish everyone all the best!! we can do it!! lol  i'll be sticking around this thread more often now...i need some encouragement... :(

k, take care (L)

::There’s a laugh in my eyes::

There’s a waltz in my walk

And it’s been such a long time

Since there was hope in my talk

If you never knew

What it is that’s new.. it’s you

‘Cause when your hands are in mine

You set a fire that everyone can see

And it’s burning away

Every bad memory

To tell you the truth

If it’s something new.. baby it’s you

It’s you in the morning

It’s you in the night

A beautiful angel came down

To light up my life

The world’s a different place

Where nothing’s too hard to say

And nothing’s too hard to do

Never too much to go through

To tell you the truth

Everything that’s new.. baby it’s you

It’s you in the morning

It’s you in the night

A beautiful angel came down

To light up my life

My life, my life

Ohh

So if I get to grow old (oh if I get to grow old)

With many years behind me (many years behind me)

There’s only one thing I want (aahh)

One thing I need beside me

For all that you are

For everything you do

For all that you’ve done

Just for showing me the truth

After an annoying 2 week long plateau, I'm finally losing again according to the scale. I've been able to tell that I've been losing anyway, cuz I've gone down one shirt size and my jeans are loose on me now. I'm 33% of the way to what I need to lose for my 471 mile bike ride in July.

To make matters even worse, I also quit smoking (again) today. Yep, it's a pleasant old time here at Casa de Larry y Mags! I've hidden away in my office most of the day for the safety of all involved.

Lady, people aren't chocolates. Do you know what they are mostly? Bastards. ####### coated bastards with ####### filling. But I don't find them half as annoying as I find naive bobble-headed optimists who walk around vomiting sunshine.

Rocinante, you better be seriously indulging yourself in some other way or something, buying trampolines and cruise packages :P Well done.

My pants size...doesn't...friggin...drop argh I don't know. I swear. Or it doesn't seem like it drops enough compared to what these people in commercials talk about. I've lost in the past maybe...don't know, two years, about 35 pounds. But I've "only" dropped two pants sizes with that. Seems weird to me :\ I don't think my bones would ever squish down to be considered "skinny" though the size of most women just terrifies me.

The past few days I've just had the overwhelming desire to eat lots and lots of peanut butter :(

I ought as well just...slack off just now xD Spring break's in two weeks and I'm home for a week. Whenever I go home all hell breaks loose, just used to eating like a kid in my parents' houses. First thing I do is buy ice cream (but double-churned these days! Yes that's diet :D)

Summer 2001 - met my Scottish boy

The 471 mile bike ride in July IS my reward. lol

Although, I AM trying to butter Mags up so that I can get a new bike this year. Luckily, the one I want is already inexpensive, AND I work at a bike shop (cost + 10%). I'm thinking early birthday present from her and my Mom! (Yeah, I wish. lol)
