start a belly dancing class on monday night. yay!

I hear you can lost a lot of weight on that. I got a bellydancing workout dvd from the library but I got so busy that I never watched it. I am also really bad at returning stuff to the library on time so I never renewed it. Let us know how it goes.

Just got back from the gym...go to Curves (but I'm not an old lady!!! Only 37!!! Or is that old?)...my trainer kicked my butt today...she's helping me away from the gym to run a 13K in October...

Now having lunch...pasta and chicken with diced tomatoes, garlic, and basalmic glaze...love it!!!

Dawn

37 is sooo not old. 37 is the new 21...lol...oh and does Curves have a certain age limit you have to be to join? I want to join but my best buddy told me I'm too young...

The only age limit I think is 18...there are definitely people at my Curves that are younger than me...

Yesterday at home I had South Beach Living Turkey & Bacon Club Wrap Sandwich Kit, without the mayo (the mayo has 40 cal) so total 200 cal. I also don't eat the jello, yuck, but they don't say how many cal the jello has, so oh well. I love those wraps. Then I had peanut butter, the fat one cuz hubby eated me lowfat peanut butta!

What's up with that Charles? Why don't you stick with your own kind....of peanutbutter! My hubby won't go on a diet with me and then when I make my meals he wants to partake in it's consumption.

 revenge for eating my nutty coconut ice cream :dancing:

 you're so mean...Nessa did you go on a binge? Or was this soy icecream?

that was right after I got here in Oct 2006, I wasn't dieting back then.

But I've been bad and went on a binge this weekend. Both Sat and Sunday. I probably gained all the weight I lost back, so whatever. I went back to the diet and succeeded yesterday, though.

Belly dancing was sooooo fun but as a beginner I wasn't that good. I bought a bag of the little pieces of cheddar the weight watchers one. I'm eating one now and I feel so happy to be having some cheese.

Well, I'm starting all over again. Diet AND smoking. Gotta get in some kinda shape (aside from "ovoid") for my ride in July.

So, I've started by using this: http://caloriecount.about.com/

I've set my initial target at 2200 calories per day. As I lose, I'll drop the calorie target. I want to lose 60 pounds by July, although I'll be happy with 50. I've lost 4 so far after 4 days.

Anyone else noticing that it's pretty much impossible (without a bank loan and a personal chef) to get 100% or below for sodium each day?

I agree Platy finding low sodium products that aren't too expensive is hard to do. I'm my own personal chef since I'm a chef and all and I still suck at making things low enough sodium. I recommend a cookbook called Good For You it's a Pillsbury cookbook. Most of the things in there are very satisfying, low sodium & low cal. Portions are also quite large. If I remember I will try and post a few of my favorite recipes from that book in here tonight. I was having a hard time finding it on amazon.
