As for food, I am eating a lot of soups. I make them for myself on Sundays and eat them through the week. Its boring but its working.

Well this week its been italian wedding without the pasta.

Next week I am thinking of making a vegetable soup.

I make vegetable soup with chicken breast (protein to build lean muscle). So it's pretty much potatoes, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, chicken and spices

ty. well the gyms here on base are very well equipped, those bands would help if you don't have access to a complete gym with all the equipments necessary for a workout.

I have a gym membership but it's about a 20 minute drive so I'm not really motivated to go to the gym. I have an exercise bike and an elliptical machine at home and a few light weights. I'm turning our spare bedroom into my gym soon. I got a 26" flat screen for xmas so I'm going to put that in there and my equipment in there and pretend I'm at the gym. I do go to the gym to swim laps on the weekends with my mom though.

That's a great idea. If I had to drive 20 min to the gym I doubt I'd go as often as I go now. But I'm heer at work, I have to drive 2 blocks only and I'm at the gym, no excuse

I told Neil that once it warms up we have to go for walks or something together. He is super skinny/lean muscular so he knows nothing about needing to lose weight.

you need a friend that needs to lose weight, that way you can have an incentive(is that the word) to work out.

All of my friends are so freaking skinny they need to gain weight. I do have one friend who needs to lose about 200lbs but I can barely get her to go to the mall because it involves walking

Yikes. It's a cycle, I think. The fatter you get, the less motivated you are to do anything about your weight, until you hit rock bottom. Like an alcoholic! Except it's because you lose all your energy. And wow 200 pounds is a big obstacle to tackle.

no. who said that?

if you hang out with people that needs to eat non-stop it can be contagious in a way. but you need an exercise buddy only, you don't need to go anywhere else besides walk.

or get a dog.
