I forgot to add stuff about today's dieting. I went shopping for diet foods this morning and I looked for the Lean Cuisine hunan beef and either they didn't have it or they were all out. Lean Cuisines are on sale this week so they may just be out because the shelves were a bit bare. I bought some very vanilla soy milk to try with my cereal. I thought it would be ok to try since it has less carbs than regular milk. I tried it with my cereal today and it was ok but I don't think I will buy it again. I'll just switch to skim milk when it runs out. I'm making white meat chicken sausages tonight with peppers, onions & tomato. Neil will probably eat his on a sandwich and I will have mine with some whole wheat pasta. Going to the gym in a bit to swim laps.

everytime i ate plenty i feel guilt,,,is this normal?

I don't know if it's normal but I know it's common. I think that it can be detrimental to trying to lose weight. People feel like they've done a 'bad' thing and have ruined their entire day of dieting. I know that's how I used to think. Now, I just try and remember that nothing is off limits. What works for me is portion control and making sure I count my Weight Watchers points. I don't deny myself chocolate when I want it, but I count it and once my points are gone for the day I'm done eating. It's been hard getting into the mindset but it can be done. Don't give up on yourself. You deserve to be healthy!! We all do!

Amber, I can't stand soy milk. It makes me want to gag. One healthy thing my parents did for me was having skim milk around. I know there's a huge debate about whether or not cow's milk is healthy but I like it. Also, I went to the manager at two of my local stores and asked when they got their shipments of WW Smart Ones and Lean Cuisine entree's in. Both come in on Thursday so I hit both of them after work on Thursdays and find plenty of variety. That way I beat the weekend shoppers.

I looked for it also, didn't find. So I bought the 3 cheese stuffed rigatoni. But it doesn't do for me. I still prefer to cook something light instead of buying those plates of light food that don't satisfy me.

I did all right. I had a donut yesterday morning but I had some extra points so I don't feel guilty about it at all. :) I always find it easier to stay on plan at work. If I'm at home and I get bored that's when I want to eat.

how did everyones weekend dieting go?

besides the half jar of peanut butter (red. fat) I wasn't supposed to eat, I am doing good. I'm managing to eat only the haagen dasz I buy for the weekend (yes I allow myself to eat ice cream or I'd just go insane, it's light, btw) and the rest I did perfect. I'm quite proud of myself.

How about you?

I did pretty good. I ate half of a calzone my sister brought home from a pizza place last night which added on tons of calories but otherwise Idid pretty good. I swam 50 laps on Saturday and did nothing yesterady. My arms are still sore. Right now I'm drinking one of those soup at hand things. I found some reduced sodium ones so they're much better.

I bought some of those. They're good for weekdays, on weekends I really need food that tastes like real food :P

PS: I LOVE Calzone, yum.

I usually eat the frozen stuff for lunch at work. I work out during my lunch I can just pop it in the microwave when I'm done and then race back upstairs to clock in for work. I do get a bit tired of it at times and go for sandwiches. I found some good high fiber wheat bread that doesn't make me want to gag. I usually make my own bread so finding a good subsitute was hard.

Tonight for dinner I'm having apricot chicken and whole wheat spaghetti tossed with olive oil and parmesan cheese.

I like Natural Ovens bread, but I can't find it here. They probably have it at Whole Foods but that's like 50 blocks away. Anyway, it's tasty, comes in several varieties and is I think 1 pt per slice because of all the fiber.

Here in NY, the only "light" breads or breads for dieters are full of HFCS. Even the weight watchers brand bread has it (although that's what I bought yesterday).

I join the thread at this point, because I'm going to try to lose about 20 lbs. before our trip to Europe in 10 weeks.
