This building I work they don't have as much food (I mean the co-workers) as the other one, so it's easier. They don't snack all the time and thank God they don't offer me stuff, cuz I hate that. But we have parties here all the time with a buffet and it's right next door, the smell of food drives me crazy, but I'm not attending the party so I don't have to eat :D

I started gaining once hubby came. I figured, hey I got him now so who cares about my figure! hehe...

that's an easy way to lose a hubby. Plus, you have to watch out for your health. I wish I could settle to eat all I want, I'd be 200 lbs in 6 months. Not only it would be terrible for my self esteem, it would be terrible for my health and I doubt my hubby would feel attracted to me.

I'm kidding about that. I am not enormous but I could stand to lost about 10 pounds. I started gaining once he got here because we would go out all the time and he has different eating habits then I so I would eat along with him. I also had a baby in February so maybe I should aim for 20 pounds...I hear ya with the self esteem. I don't feel too good about myself and I don't want having a baby to be an excuse for where I am right now in terms of fitness level.

I didn't know you just had a baby. I wasn't saying you would lose your husband, but having your partner attracted to you is always good for a healthy relationship.

I totally understand what you mean. Like I said, at some point having a baby shouldn't be an excuse anymore.

My encouragement is that I want to have a baby when my husband gets home. I also enjoy doing things like ice skating and roller skating. If I lost weight I would do those things more often and longer.

My problems can start with going out to eat and getting ice cream. Before you know it becomes a norm in my house not just a treat.

That's not healthy to lose that much so fast. As soon as carbs are re-introduced - weight gain will happen.

not planning to eat carbs anymore .........atleast not more than the 20 grams a day...thats all i have

I always lose a significant amount of ''weight'' the first week or 2 and then it stops. You are actually losing water. It's not unhealthy really, she just needs to keep up with her diet longer and then reintroduce carbs slowly so she won't gain the actual weight she lost.

It's so hard to be the only one in the household that is eating healthy. Hubby eats all he wants and keeps that junk in the house. I don't want him to suffer because of me but it's so tempting to eat cookies when they are right there in the cabinet! I think I will have more success when I start working.

I feel your pain. I wish hubby would join me so there would be no fattening stuff in the house, which makes more difficult to diet. If you don't have food you won't eat, period. If you have you need to control yourself and sometimes that peanut butter jar is screaming my name: EAT ME, NESSA, EAT ME!!

I'm the same way and my husband loves eating junk food. I'm lucky though in some ways because he likes stuff that I think is gross like frozen curries and burritos, french fries & baby ruth candy bars. My weakness is Nutella though I actually threw it away last night so I wouldn't be staring at it anymore

Life is a ticket to the greatest show on earth.
