How to talk to Consulate in Montreal

Greeting VJ Friends,

According to NVC, they mailed the papers to Montreal Consulate on November 21. But we haven't received packet 3 yet from Consulate.

It is almost 3 full weeks now.

Tried calling Montreal Consulate several times, but get the machine and finally disconnects itself. What is the best way and a good time window to reach an agent at the Consulate to inquire about the status of case.

I don't think either of the Consulate's in Canada take phone calls. Send them an email and if you have your case number from NVC, quote that in the Subject line. My understanding is that people are getting "canned" email from Montreal, but it will probably state in the email their processing times etc.

Hi

My experience with Montreal that it is best to email. We started the process last February and at that time it took a day or two for the response. As the volume is greater this year it may take longer to get any info from them.

Hang in there. I've received my G.C. and it was worth the wait. There was an end to the tunnel.
